@mattkaythetimelord Why not? :) That Trans Am is timeless and beautiful. It would work very well, they should only upgrade KITT´s gadgetry and interior a bit more digital-agey. But yeah you´re right, realistically it´s hardly to happen because GM wouldn´t sponsor the old car. But then again, they could always try to get their funding elsewhere..

@mattkaythetimelord , During the original Knight Rider the 80's Trans-am that was used for Kitt had Futuristic look to it. and even in today"s world it still had that futuristic look to it. the fans of the original show didn't care for the new KITT, ( I should say most of them) and would have prefered the original. any new updated gadgets could have been added to the Original Car. just like they did for 4 seasons.

i morn the loss of pontiac, and due to goverment ownership of GM i have become a ford man. (not too hard sense i own a ford ranger, and have had several mustangs) my 78 trans am though kinda spoiled me, god i love that car :-D

if they could use computer graphics to make the new KITT change shape to other cars and trucks then they could have easily made it change to the original KITT . which they should have done as part of the changing abilities. As it stands only the Original Knight Rider was a success....Team Knight Rider and the new Knight Rider both failed as shows. I know i didn't care for TKR or the new show.

U know what u did a better job at editing than the way they have done it on the new Knight Rider. The editing and pace and when you edit to reveal a new shot actually matches the music which it doesn't on the new Knight Rider. Good JOB. (shame about the crap music they made for the show)

They need to bring the Knight 2000 back, sure maybe they cant use the original voice etc. Why not use David's voice for say, and i am sure they can find a 1982 trans am and restore it and give it what KITT

The plot wasn't all that bad for the movie. I just hate Mustangs, mostly cause they're in EVERY movie or tv show, their junk, and in real life, a stock Camaro or Firebird could outperform them. Plus it just didnt look good. And I hated how they stole the camo thing from another KR knockoff, Viper. Oh and I thought the father/son thing was cheesy too. Why couldn't it be some total stranger who was a loner just like Michael Knight was, only darker and more brooding to keep up with modern times
