1) Yep. Good verses to bring up to question the authority and validity of the Bible, but these are only a few out of 30,000. Do you want to throw out the baby with the bathwater? The first few verses come to us from the Law, which we consider the Old Covenant, of which we are under no longer. They have to be interpreted according to the time in which they were spoken and written.
2) The Law shows us how difficult it is to live a perfect life. It is part of God's design to show us that we cannot possibly live fully to God's expectations. It is for that reason that we are in need of giving sacrifice and receiving forgiveness of our sins. In Old Testament days this was done through token sacrifices, like animals, but it was foretold that a savior would come to be a sacrifice for all. Jesus was that perfect sacrifice for our sins as He died on the cross.
3) Luke 14:26 should be more understandable when you read Matthew 10:37 along with it. 1 Corinthians 11:14-15 does sound funny. The best explanation I've heard for this is that it is a cultural statement that should be understood in light of the time. I've known Christian men with long hair. I think back then long hair on men was somehow tied into sexual promiscuity or homosexuality, but I could be wrong about that, not sure.
so ya r telling me his parents were healed coz ya guys changed them to christians.well,ya know how plausible that sounds.some christian church prolly donated some money for the treatment of those poor folks and gave pressure to switch the religion.just because others dont believe in your god doesnot mean ya have right to say other gods are fake.
"Shouldn't all people be given their own choice? " Yes they should but not by luring sum off money. You first brainwashed this kid Titus may be by helping his family and now using him as a tool.Actually he gets certain amount of money by reaching to all those ppl.Remember one thing,no body is coming to f**k with you so donn try to F**k with others.
If you watched the video, you saw how his parents were healed, which is why his family had faith in Jesus and why he has a Biblical name. No one is being lured by money. Missionaries are only paid around the average income of the people they live around. Most missionaries would do their work for free. There is a reason why Christians spend time talking to friends, family, and strangers, and get rejected, laughed at, and spend hours in prayer. It is because we love you as does God.
Also, let me tell ya sth i do have knowledge about bible and i hung around christian folk but i dont like their attitude of looking down on others.you guys spread hatred and sprout wars.(which is completely against what bible says). Go to jerusalem to wash yo face.
I'm sorry you've had bad experiences with Christians. Some out there are fake Christians. Some are genuine Christians, but are struggling with things or not always perfect.
Anytime people are offered money or gifts for conversion or coerced into conversion it is a disgusting abuse of ministry. Anytime a group is trying to spread and gain followers in a poor country, there is always the risk of such a thing happening. I believe there are people who claim to be Christian and do this, but in reality they are not Christian. Same goes for any religion, etc. However, Gospel for Asia does not do this. Peoples' choices to believe in Jesus are of their own free will.
It is awesome to read responses such as above. I am a development worker in various parts of Asia, and daily I see the appalling results off naive american missionaries. Please, this is a plea, stop destroying cultures, stop making people look at their history with shame, please stop putting people and families at risk because of their contact and conversion. Please stop preying on the vulnerable, illiterate, impoverished. You should be ashamed of yourselves
Actually, your argument almost helps this message. It is not naive American missionaries. Notice there are no Americans in the video. Titus is native of Nepal. He is just sharing Christianity with his own people. And why should people be at risk of harm for converting? Shouldn't all people be given their own choice? Should we deny people their freedom of religion?
Jesus Says: "I am the way the truth and the life, noone comes to the Father except through me." Either Jesus is telling the truth or not. You have 4 options:
1) Jesus is a liar, you refuse to believe in Him, no problem
2) Jesus is a liar, you do believe, no problem
3) Jesus is right, you refuse to believe, BIG PROBLEM
4) Jesus is right, you do believe, Eternity with Him!
If I were you, I'd study Jesus/Bible a whole bunch because there is a lot at stake in whichever decision you make!

i don't understand why people like you are bent on spreading ur religion.may b u want to advertise ur religion so as to draw people towards your religion.believe in your god and don't force others to follow your god. there is only one god who u call jesus, hindus call bhagwan and muslims call allah. keep your religion to yourself. keep in mind-all religion lead to the same path ie, the path to god
Thanks for your concern. I hear what you're saying. I would ask you to consider a few things though. The religion is not forced on anyone. It is offered to them. In fact, it is usually the opposite. People are forced and pressured not to convert to Christianity. Once they do convert, they are pressured to return to their old religion. Still, they hold to faith in Jesus, even if killed or put in jail. There might be more to it than you think. Is it wrong to give ppl a choice in religion?
It is divisive, culturally insensitive and appalling behaviour. Hopefully more westerners will realize this and help dry up funds for evangelicals at the source. Poor people are often offered inducements to convert.
If you really want to help a poor society - why can't you do it without pushing your religion?
People should support secular charities such as CARE or Medicins sans Frontieres instead.

Some christians can't resist proselytizing at every opportunity.
It is disgusting that they use Aid to poor people as a vehicle to evangelize their religion.
I agree they should keep it to themselves.

I would just say ask Christian converts in non-Christian lands why they became Christian.
