i once played a 8 player skirmish on standard difficulty and damn the orks owned everyone! i was going to capture some SP's but when i was capturing one, i saw the squiggoth running to with lots of other orks to the other side of the map and i was like omg dont come here. well they didnt come to kill me, they killed everyone expect me and IG. it was like 25 seconds from a CL win and noticed it too late and they won :/ ig was just about to die but CL win saved them lol. btw used all letters :D:D:

3+ armour saves on the basic troop on table top, thats kinda crazy

in dawn of war just spam heavy bolters or missle launchers, deep strike dreadnoughts. Then if anything fails just blow the shit out of your enemy with orbital bombardment

Well I admit i've never played the Table Top game, concidering its very expensive. But I beat people just fine on DoW when they're Space Marines.

DoW space marines are really balanced and the first tier sucks.

Paydafee, Space Marines units do cost alot points, so that kinda balances them out.

This game's friendly A.I is useless, they just build a generator, some basic infantry, capture a strategic point and get wiped out by the enemy because I can't be assed to save them.

Its because that they need a better engine to house the Tyranids in total force and swarm, but the other reason is that you proberly wouldnt be able to do missions like Take and Hold, because when was the last time you saw Tyranids use tactics, its just charge and consume thats all...so yeah, thats proberly the reasons.

Yea its true that the Tyranids don't really use tactics. But they are way more organized than the Orks. The Tyranids would be more likely to stand there and capture a strategic point then the Orks would be.

the Tryands are more organized because they have a hive mind but they may not use tactis but the surley can adapt. And for the sake of playing the game they probably would capture Stratgeic points because they are no Stratgeic points in "real life" so the Points are just their really for gameplay.

the problem with nids is the balance needed to get the transfer from tabletop to moniter. the smaller nid units are absolutely diabolical but a good pincushion ('cept genestealers) and then of course you have to get the hive mind thing right without making them completely fearless. in the end they may turn out like a horde necrons, once you kill the big gribblys you more or less win.

Nah cause they could increase the amount of starting members per unit of the smaller guys. And if the reinforcement time was decreased a bit and more of them would be able to be added for a cheaper price it would all balance out. Plus the hive mind doesn't directly contact the smaller units. Instead it sends messages to the synapse creatures. They could just have the smaller units be fearless while in range of the larger ones.
