The people at skyfire are basically saying their browser handles flash better than regular android flash 10.1 i say FUCK THAT; I HAVE THE G2 AND THE FASTEST DSL IN THE COUNTRY AND I WATCH LIVE TV AND SPORTS GAMES ON MY PHONE. I CAN'T DO THAT SHIT ON SKYFIRE ANDROID. SKYFIRE WINDOWS MOBILOE IS BETTER THAN SKYFIRE ANDROID AND IPHONE BROWSERS BUT FLASH 10.1 IS THE KING!........SKYFIRE U GOT NERVES.
I like Skyfire i used skyfire in Germany with the Samsung Galxy S, It can be run not good in other devices but adobe make the flash player 5 or more years ago skyfire is newer and makes updates and make it better. its good that a company make concurence to adobe with cloud technology thats pushing booth to make a better job ;) Thanks skyfire for the service now i can look the soccer on my phone. Sorry for my bad english i'm from germany... great job skyfire THANKS
What kind of an idiotic test is this?!? For all we know the "randomly pulled" video segments are an mp4 file you have prepared just for this. Never once do i see "Skyfire". And the battery drain??! Skipping ahead in time is just another way not to prove anything. Talk about bullshitting people.
@MacPerfect Thank you for watching the video test. We can assure you this video was created with equally set up T-mobile devices running on 3g. Absolutely no special editing or mp4s involved. With time lapse editing, it is difficult to create a video viewable in a couple of minutes. We understand your skepticism and cannot wait for others to do their own testing with Flash 10.1 for Android to see the benefits of watching video via Skyfire.
@MacPerfect dude its a free application that you can download and test for yourself and since you don't like 2 minute videos I have a 9 minute demo that you can sit through, running on a T-Mobile Dash... back in beta, talk about an ancient device, skyfire runs smooth as hell on a strong connection, they are still offering it free to get everyone onboard. So stop speculating and try it
@blankitolindo Consider this: If Skyfire can't even keep its marketing honest, do you really think they are being honest about what they are doing with your private data?
How is this company making money? Transcoding video is insanely expensive. Other transcoding browsers that don't transcode video are barely able to break even, so Skyfire must be losing money like crazy. That, or they are doing something like selling personal data to advertisers to cover their costs.
@bubbah Skyfire's technology has allowed us to scale our video adaptation at incredibly low cost. It's not free, but intense users can be supported in the pennies per month. Skyfire has a strict privacy policy and has never sold any personal data of any kind. Never. This is a cutting edge R&D shop, supported by top tier VC firms, and yes, the team here has built amazing things. You bet it's hard, complex stuff. Those are the big technology problems we like to solve. Jeff, CEO
Every other video showing off Flash 10.1 on the nexus is smooth with no problems. Invalidates the credibility of this showoff, even if Skyfire happens to be great.
Would be nice to know what froyo version its running as well.
@mortenlu The sites in Adobe’s flash demonstration videos are always from the handful of sites where the publisher has optimized for mobile. But once you are out on the open web, users will very often encounter highly variable content and formats that are not optimized for mobile. That’s where Skyfire shines.
Also, as Flash is still in beta, it may get better performance. If you check out videos with the newest froyo (just search for FRF83 here on youtube) and you'll see what todays flash can do. Though I'd hold of judgement untill is out of beta.
I don't doubt that there are sites that the phone just can't handle, though I think most non HD video should be fine.

@SkyfireMobileBrowser That's just dishonest of you.
He said "every other video", not "Adobe's Flash demonstration videos".
Furthermore, your video fails to mention the choppy, overly compressed slideshows you usually get from Skyfire videos.
Fail.
