  • what equipment and software did you use?

  • Very clever

  • Fake!! That toy was moving in the end!

  • Cool.......i love how he actually blinked and his eyes moved around

  • @BattnBall hey guys, look at my videos, it's sort of like this type of animation

  • EPIC!!!!!

  • Animation Tutorial 2 is pretty cool, the voice hasnt been finished yet, but its still nice to watch. carseandwaterman is my new animation account.

  • Hey-- what clay do you use for stop motion characters? Do you just use clay, or do you have to make a skeleton first? (And if you make a skeleton, how do you make one?) Sorry to bombard you with questions, but I'm having the hardest time with clay stop motions.

    Thanks.

  • @21msjess Hey, I would use aluminium wire for the armature (3 strands twisted together) then coat it with Newplast clay. Making sure your character is firmly secure on set is one of the most important things in stopmotion animation.

  • @BattnBall Oh thank you so much!!

  • little do they know that they re stop stop motioning

  • thats heaps good! do you have any tips on my videos(on my channel)??

    thanks

  • what type of clay is that

  • @Seedot0001 Newplast Clay

  • Awww, he is so adorable, i love it!!!

  • awesome minus the string holding up little tim could have been done better

  • @lost2010 I left the strings in to give it a homemade feel, stopmotion tends to work best when its left rough and unpolished.

  • awesome didn't teach much though

  • hey man im just asking but what did u need the strings for at 0:50

  • @bloodykilljoy84 He was balancing at a very funny angle, and kept falling over everytime I went to take a shot.

  • awwwwww!

  • its so cute!

  • come see! come see!

  • this is incredible!!

  • OK Golum

  • ..lol, donald duck!

  • adorable way to help people learn how to make klaymations. im getting ready to make my first.

  • haha cool!

    i like his voice!

  • "Tooooool!!" lol

  • did u use clay

  • its best to use polymer clay, and if its hard at first, put it in the microwave for like 10 sec or less

  • @milagrosott I used to microwave the clay before I modelled yeah.

  • what clay do you reccoemnd?

  • @whatdiditube Newplast Clay

  • that is fucking cooll!!!!!

  • sweet

  • i am wondering what type of clay you used. mine always seems to fall apart on me//

  • It wnt falapar f you put Wire (For the Bones inside)

  • @DJTimesTable Newplast Clay is best.

  • nice video, i learned a lot with it!!! Thanx!!!!!!

  • timmy sounds like the ugly duckling this is awsome!!!

  • how do you get props?

  • he sounds like donald duck

  • cute

  • you gotta make more of little tim pictures. very clever indeed.

  • little tim sounds like gollem and donald duck put together

  • i saw the strings at :50sec

  • end lol

  • Great job!

  • This was probably the best animation ive ever seen it was smooth and very well done but the way the voices worked and how the story was ploted made me think it was for small children, but never the less good job

  • I love this video! It's so smooth and that that alien dude is very cute. I love it's voice too.

  • did u make this BattnBall?

  • yeah, the reason it looks rough is because it was very early work.

  • Its still GREAT! That little alien dude is really cute!

  • where can you find a free claymation software?

  • search- Anasazi

  • ... the human dictionary is too limited to describe how amazing this is

  • thanks again man...i finally managed to get my guy to stand. u relli 1 big help n ur anmation is super smooth!!!!. i keep ob on goin to it for reference..my qs tis tine did u carve ur lipsync directly from ur char? or u make from scratch?

  • thanks!!! u rox...how u make ur char stand? a tiedown? or u make the leg big? im making 1 but its damn hard!!!! bear wif me its my first time

  • I balance them... big feet can help though yeah.

  • hey its me again. how u do ur "fingers"? how u link to ur armature. im stuck...= =

  • You don't armature fingers on a puppet the size of Lil Tim, the plastcine will be fine by itself. But if you're working with something bigger... its a case of using aluminum wire and a soldering iron to make a simple metal skeleton

  • errm ok tat means just a normal plasticine branching out like fingers? thanks man u r reli helpful

  • every one look at 0:50 in the video. what i use is fishing line with a tack in the back.

  • haha, he was physically hanging in mid air here, its a shame I didn't know about go-motion back then, I could have used it very effectively here. Normally I would smooth the plasticine over the string and colour the top bits in with red felt tip pen, that makes it easier to edit out afterwards.

  • How do you get the clay to not smear together? (like when you make him blink)

  • I don't press the lids on very hard but if the colours do rub onto each other you just have to peel it off with your nails or a tool.

  • did u use armature for teh alien?

  • Yeah, but just a basic wire one.

  • thanks. anyway how ur clay look so clean and tidy? evrytime i do clay they will smear ard each other gif me the dirty look. any tips in handling them?

  • Just be very careful and if you're using colours that don't like each other make sure you wipe your fingers thoroughly after each move.

  • err what u mean by singles? sorry im new in this.

  • A SINGLE frame for ever move you make - basically shooting at full speed , 24 frames per second.... rather than doubles - 12 FPS or 15 FPS.

  • WELL DONE!. may i know how you did the first section where u zoom in ur camera but your Tim is still moving? coz everytime i zoom in wif camera wif stop motion it will either look jerky and not smooth.

  • As long at you're shooting in singles and your REALLY careful with your zooming - it should be fine! :)

  • cool! very clever!

  • That's really smooth! How many fps is that?

  • Thanks, it's shot in singles, 24 Frames per second.

  • This is really awsome.

  • good tutorial, hope to see more amazing animations soon!

  • yeah well it was originally going to be commissioned and released... but then other projects mean't it got left behind and eventually scrapped, I only finished it because I felt bad for the little guy haha.... maybe one day we'll get it out there!

  • wow looks good!

is this going to be available on dvd?

  • nice one boys, made this old fart laugh

  • I started animating this at the beginning of last year, and I've just finished that last clapping shot tonight!... it kept getting put back for other projects! Its needs to be cleaned up digitally, strings removed, freeze frames cut and maybe some more sound effects. I'll do that next year!
