It's not deleted, it's just that when it airs on tv it has a limited amount to show at a limited amount of time... so they cut a few scenes out, here and there, so that they can fit the show into the time slot. But if you watch the DVD cut, then it will show the full episodes, no scenes cut.

I like to fall asleep with DVDs on. One of my favourite DVDs to watch at night is friends, so trust me when I say I've seen every episode at least 30 times. I also watched this season (although not the old ones because I was too young to get the humour) when they were being aired, and a bunch of other times during repeats. I'm from the UK, I have the DVDs that were released in the UK, and I've never seen this scene before now.

This is deleted from most airings and DVDs. Only region 2 DVDs (USA) contain this scene. The other DVD releases worldwide only include the episodes as they aired on TV. Region 2 DVDs contain the uncut episodes which means, that each episode is 2-7min longer than on the other DVDs and normal TV syndications.
