It's people like JigsawFirefly that gives me hope for humanity.
While most homeless appreciate the water and food, alot more would also like to just have someone that'll spend 5 or 10 minutes a day with just to talk to.
Helping the homeless can actually be done for FREE!
Some of the more rude, inconsiderate jerks out there who say, "Get a job!", "Bum","Drug addict" , etc ARE the ones who actually need to get up off their arses and be "productive".
This is awesome I have been thinking about making Chi Chi ("Prison Food" made of ramin noodles, chili and cheese) That is very inexpensive for a community of homeless that live close to me. The world needs more people like you. This is just Great. You get to exercise at the same time too. Way better way to do it than pay a gym :)

Food and water helps. But you should stay there and talk to one of them. THey will tell you nice stuff. thats really what they need, a friend, a buddy, some one to talk too. They are always so posative.
