I kind of get annoyed with people complaining about the camping. It's actually supposed to drag there, because the characters are all unsure of what to do next. The dragging conveys their uncertainty to the audience. We're unsure what they'll do next, as are they.
I agree, since they still have 4 more Horcruxes to get, plus there's going to be an AWESOME fight between the people at Hogwarts and The Death Eaters, so it should kick even more ass than this one.
One wonders whether this movie will make $1 Billion. Whether if it does, the american audience have already said goodbey to Harry as this movie won't reach the US gross of HP1, the first and most successful of the franchise.

Loved the movie, but what was with the random mirror shard that Harry carried around? I read the books and don't remember that. Also, I don't like Yates' direction. For one thing, spells aren't all the same color. In the books, stupify is red, but in the film, it is grey like 90% of the spells. Sorry, it just annoys me. Still, good movie, maybe the best so far.

@Spinwheeling Sounds like you need to relearn how to read then cause that was a huge part of the 5th and 7th books. The Mirror was Sirius' last gift to Harry. He gave one mirror to Harry and kept the other one for himself. They worked sort of like webcams, they could talk to each other with them. Harry remembered the mirror after Sirius died and smashed it in frustration. Later, in the seventh book he brought it with him...mostly because of it's meaning to him.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 is the strongest film of the bunch. It has no beginning, nor does it have a ending, so you can really criticize the film because it is invalid. See Part 2 in July and then you can criticize part 1 and 2.
A lot of things happened in Part 1 - people only say that they do nothing is because Hogwarts isn't in the film, it's a different feel and it's a good feel for a Harry Potter film. After 7 films this franchise is still strong and successful.

The film is slow because it's only half a book so there's no real climax to the movie but I'm a big Harry potter fan so I understood what was happening and why it was slow in places. This was really a film for the fans, I loved it.
If youve read the books, this movie will be nearly perfect. Well pretty damn good. And the change of scenery makes it the most interesting hp movie in a while. Cohost has got to shut the fuck up, they dont even spend that much time in the woods.

@angelmarine1292 Really? Its been awhile since I read the book and I would understand why non readers would get confused but really man? Either you read the book badly or you read the wrong one, or maybe you just flat out didnt pay attention? If you have a sense of the ideal plot of the book, then the film shouldn't be that hard to follow.

@martinxy4 I exxagerated, what I meant is, they left out a HUGE amount of important and entertaining details altogether, even though the idea of two films was to allow better story coverage.

@angelmarine1292 True. I really really agree. From the moment I saw the film for the first time I was disappointed that there was little story coverage for the amount of silent minutes the film had. I hope they explain more in the second part.

@JG16riffin Oh that reminds me, they ended the first film at a point where roughly 2/3 of the story was over in the books. They're just going to turn the second movie into one overdrawn bloody battle scene. Disappointment.

I'm starting to see a real flaw in the development with Deathly Hallows. It's like with Slughorn and his memory ... they've tampered with it too much.

@angelmarine1292 Really? THe only key detail that I really wanted that wasnt shown was Harry's touching moment with Dudley. You cant do anything about that will be missed from the book. With the exeption of how Harry got that piece of mirror, I thought the omission of Ron's disease and RAB's side plot, was ok and undamaging to the story, plot hole wise.

I agree with Co-Host 3000...this is the second HP movie i fell asleep to. Spill.com are losing it totally. Giving Terminator Salvation, Avatar, Predators and Deadly Hallows full price...then Tron Legacy Rental wtf...Deep down inside...individual atleast... they have no idea on how to review properly.

Loved the movie, but what was with the random mirror shard that Harry carried around? I read the books and don't remember that. Also, I don't like Yates' direction. For one thing, spells aren't all the same color. In the books, stupify is red, but in the film, it is grey like 90% of the spells. Sorry, it just annoys me. Still, good movie, maybe the best so far.

@Spinwheeling Sounds like you need to relearn how to read then cause that was a huge part of the 5th and 7th books. The Mirror was Sirius' last gift to Harry. He gave one mirror to Harry and kept the other one for himself. They worked sort of like webcams, they could talk to each other with them. Harry remembered the mirror after Sirius died and smashed it in frustration. Later, in the seventh book he brought it with him...mostly because of it's meaning to him.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 is the strongest film of the bunch. It has no beginning, nor does it have a ending, so you can really criticize the film because it is invalid. See Part 2 in July and then you can criticize part 1 and 2.
A lot of things happened in Part 1 - people only say that they do nothing is because Hogwarts isn't in the film, it's a different feel and it's a good feel for a Harry Potter film. After 7 films this franchise is still strong and successful.

I have read the first, second and fourth book and watched all the movies that came out. The beginning of this movie started good but then it turned into a boring chase film. High Matinee for me

The film is slow because it's only half a book so there's no real climax to the movie but I'm a big Harry potter fan so I understood what was happening and why it was slow in places. This was really a film for the fans, I loved it.

If youve read the books, this movie will be nearly perfect. Well pretty damn good. And the change of scenery makes it the most interesting hp movie in a while. Cohost has got to shut the fuck up, they dont even spend that much time in the woods.

I think they should've just let Leon and Cyrus do this review because they understood the film and knew what was going on. They kept trying to talk over Korey and Co-Host and explain to them what was happening in the film.
