  • At first I thought it was another fantastically funny feline video until I read your comment. I am truly sorry for your loss and thank you so much for sharing this info fo other feline owners.

  • My cat seizes and falls out of windows, off cat trees, etc. Then she puts her legs in a position you wouldn't think they could go in, her eyes roll back and she puts her front paws up to her face. I described this to my vet and they said it was a seizure. I'm majoring in biology, and, when it happened, I told my husband I thought it was a seizure. So, sometimes they don't look all shaky and freaky. Same with people. Just so everyone knows.

  • thats sad, i had a cat that was actually retarded and had seizures alot, he eventually died tho, i miss him : (

  • @jordan101317 im soooooooooo sorry

  • Definitely a seizure, My cat does the same thing. It's terrible when he starts at the top of the stairs on a counter top. I would never put him down though.

  • Now with 50% more gay!

  • Looks like its chasing it's tail.

  • After seeing my cat behave exactly as yours was in this video a few minutes ago, I did a Google search and found your vid. My God it scared the crap out of me - I'm taking her to the vet asap.

  • my cat used to do that a lot after having sex, i dont think she was having a seizure, cause she always liked to be clean, and when a cat jumped to her and started to have sex, she didnt like it and started to go crazy and clean herself with her tongue

  • Its just chasing its tail.. one of mine does this when its not getting attention

  • The cats faking it, it just wants attention. What a drama queen.

  • Also, keep noises down, and cat nip away......they can be triggers to a seizure.

  • If your feline is having seizures, it could be epilepsy, brain tumor/lesion, or a build up of toxins due to failing kidneys.

Phenobarbital (and other medication) can be used to keep the instances down.

To the poster, I'm saddened that your cat died, but thank you for posting this for people to see just what a feline seizure looks like so they can take action.

And as one commentor said, seizures suck.....big time.

  • Untill i started reading comments, i just thought your cat was having a moment... but then i saw it really was having seizures.Sorry about your cat.

  • yeh it is a seizure the best thing for it is to put him/her to sleep if it continues to do that. my cat had a siezure yesterday and didnt stop so she was put to sleep T_T

  • probably got into some bad cat food or plant, mushroom ect... or you gave it L.S.D.. typical reaction... posion or something

  • Thanks for posting. Thought my cat was just not using her box recently until I finally caught her at it - spinning, drooling, making a sneezing/coughing sound, and peeing all at the same time. Upwards of 10 times a day. Had to put her down, and googled and found this. Sorry about your cats. :-( Seizures *suck*.

  • This cat was diagnosed (from a licensed vet) with Feline Seizures. This past January, he had a seizure spiral and we were unable to bring him out of it medically. He died. This video is posted to help other cat owners diagnose any problems they might have and get their cat into a vet ASAP.

  • The reason why this video is on youtube is probably so that other cat owners can compare and contrast their own cats' seizures.

I hope everyone who's saying "oh he's just chasing his tail, dumbass" can remain in ignorance and never has to actually see a cat have a seizure.

  • I wish my kitty's seizures were that tame :(

  • that cat was just chaseing its tail.
