Is it policy to turn people down and make them go through appeals while they are forced to live on the street while they wait for help that may never come? Every one I know who applied for assistance was turned down the first time they filed and had to wait years for assistance when they were clearly disabled. Why is that?

@lizard944: For 36 years I lived in a private hell, my body its own Iron Maiden, while doctors claimed there was nothing wrong with me or I had a low threshold for pain (I could write a book about that one). Finally five years ago I found out that the Fibromyalgia that I was diagnosed with (after 15 years of unrelenting disabling pain), was caused by a rare genetic disorder called Ehlers-Danlos Type III.
@lizar944: Yap, the collagen produced for my ligaments and tendons is malformed, weak, overly stretchy, and damages so easily that rolling over in bed can cause sever damage and horrible pain. So my muscles spasm to keep my joints stable. I have lived with this for 41 years. It gets worse as you get older and more painful. I was denied Social security disability because they could not find any cause for the pain via blood tests, x-rays, or other tests.
@lizard944: Physical exams and patient claims do not count. It took three years back in the early 1980s to get my disability. I got it for the depression caused by the pain, not because of the pain. A fluke, but I was one of the very few lucky ones. My daughter who has what I have, is 32 years old and been in constant pain since she was 9, fought for 5 years and got in because someone fought, had it go to court and won.
Next time you say or think whaaah, over some one else's medical issue, remember YOU are not living their life, YOU know nothing of what they have to deal with, YOU have no right to judge that which you are totally ignorant of. If the medical community can misdiagnose my daughter and I for decades while we suffered horribly from a long time known disorder, where does that leave you and your self righteousness? Or the self righteousness of the GOP?
People with "disabilities" wear them like a badge of honor and priviledge. Locally, we have a disabled group who feel it's their duty to cruise the city with laser levels measuring every curb angle and wheelchair ramp and then sue if it's off ADA specifications by tenths of a degree. 95% of the areas they survey don't even have wheelchaired people living in the neighborhood. Meanwhile there are people starving to death all over the world. These disabled "terrorists" have no shame in their game.

Where corporations in America are concerned with hiring someone with Schizophrenia, the executives will never commit to a compromise.
Can we then, justify any vain effort to enforce the ADA? And can we try to exact another approach, like, our own enterprise? eg. Cottage Industry. Can we expect any communication with individuals capable of fostering this idea? A non-profit industry would mutually benefit the benefactor and us.

It is with family members who feel the placcard is their own personal ticket to good parking spaces even when they don't have the disabled person with them. And elderly people who have been a long term patient of their family doctor can easily brow beat them into signing a handicapped application. Being old is NOT automatically a disability. You must need appliances (wheelchair,etc.) in order to mobilize.

He has diabetes, and several infections in his legs that is causing blood loss from the legs. So far he has been gone from home for several months and in and out of hospitals. I'm not sure of the numbers, but it is one representative for every so many people but every state must have at least one even if under this number. States can gain or lose seats every ten years, but the number always stays at 435. Hope that helps!

My question since my comments have laid some backround, is;
Where corporations in America are concerned with hiring someone with Schizophrenia, the executives will never commit to a compromise.
Can we then, justify any vain effort to enforce the ADA? And can we try to exact another approach, like, our own enterprise? eg. Cottage Industry. Can we expect any communication with individuals capable of fostering this idea? A non-profit industry would mutually benefit the benefactor and us.

Some feedback to the council: I am disabled with Schizphrenia. A disorder caused by a physical factor, and aggravated by external factors. My disorder is misunderstood. Deliberately. It is the gravity of my mental and emotional disorder that, the vastly more important factor in functionability in society, that I am forced to cope with prejudice. It is also 'completely up to me' to expose the misunderstanding, by proving by example, that Schizophrenia can be overcome.

I have a question: Why are there soooo many f@cking people on disability who are completely able-bodied? And why do disabled people have the nicest cars parked in the "handicapped" spaces? And why did I see a Mercedes with a bicycle rack on the back parked in a handicapped space? And why has Autism gone from 1 in 600 ten years ago, to 1 in 110 today? @freba91 The problem is not with people who have real physical disabilities. It is with family members who feel the placcard is their own personal ticket to good parking spaces even when they don't have the disabled person with them. And elderly people who have been a long term patient of their family doctor can easily brow beat them into signing a handicapped application. Being old is NOT automatically a disability. You must need appliances (wheelchair,etc.) in order to mobilize.

There's an element who prefer to be angry and ignorant as can be seen by there disapproval before they even watch the video. They don't have the attention span or the curiosity of understanding to watch these videos. They simply complain no matter what. Hello My name is Jerry Bishop and I am asking this church to pray for my father. He is in UC Davis and is very ill at the moment. He has diabetes, and several infections in his legs that is causing blood loss from the legs. So far he has been gone from home for several months and in and out of hospitals. @bradjbourgeois73 The number of representatives is the same, 435. Every 10 years, the 435 is split up based on population. I'm not sure of the numbers, but it is one representative for every so many people but every state must have at least one even if under this number. States can gain or lose seats every ten years, but the number always stays at 435. Hope that helps!
