I just watched this siriusXM video with jack johnson, the interviewer asked him a question that Jack completely misunderstood... His response was far out there lol...
Makes me realize how brilliant and intricate David Gray is
you know a singer is truly talented when they sound just as good if not better live than in the studio version...wish i could say the same thing for artists like ke$ha and taylor swift you are absolutely horrible live.
i actually think it's very different from his Greatest Hits album. except for this song. this song has much of the same qualities as his other awesome songs. but the rest of Draw the Line is very different imo. and the second cd has a couple of his greatest hits songs on it as well. so :\ but imo i prefer the greatest hits album sound if you know what i mean. his sound is just full of emotion.
I love David Gray's music, but I wish he'd ease up on the "got out of my comfort zone" territory-this album has a couple of different musicians on it and does sound a bit different, but not massively!!
It's not like he did a Divine Comedy who sacked the whole band, ditched the piano and guitar and went out with a full orchestra backing him!! Or it's not like he did a Dylan and went electric!!
Ya know....I've always felt that a truly amazing song would make you rock back and forth in your chair or wherever you maybe.....and it would take every part of you to try and not to cry and explode from within with emotions....and you just can't do keep it in.....but maybe that's just me :) This song..the sound....his movement...his face... definitely does that for me... But one thing i DO know....David Gray and I would be best friends lol
David Gray is a brilliant singer-songwriter, and XM is an awesome medium to bring people like him to the masses. Gray's brand new album, "Draw the Line," is the best all-around release I've heard for years. The wife and I can't stop listening to it.
David gray is a legend... Fact!

I'm going to see him in Chicago on the 27th - so excited to have the chance to see him after missing him this summer with Ray LaMontagne.

Does anyone know the strumming pattern to this song?
I'm a obviously a beginner hack, but would love to be able to play this...but I can't figure it out.
Anyone?

I really love David's music but, I agree with bollix13 that his sound or his song writing hasn't really changed much on this album.
