  • Dude you really need to just stick to the review and not keep adding three miniute long rants on the way the box is writen. Also you have to just make it quiq and informative and dont spoil the special features for us. Otherwise you did alright.

  • i got that one today its like that but its just the dvd and its not yellow/ gold buts its blue.

  • There is a 2 disc version, i own it

  • Terminator Salvation DVD has a pretty cool cover witth that holograph on it. The movie sucks though unfortunately.

  • I LOVE WALL-E! MY FAV PIXAR MOVIE!

  • i have just bought it today

  • I'm a HUGE Pixar nut. I not only own that exact DVD, but every movie ( exept Up) on DVD, plus the Pixar short collection!

  • i have this

    my baby cousin's favorite movie

he loves it so much that he stole it

  • Actually there is a two disc... I bought it...

  • the burn-e thing is hillarious you should watch it

  • i have a one-disc wall-e DVD and Burn-e was HILARIOUS!!!!!

  • That third guy on the front of the box, his name is M-O, he's a cleaner robot and continually, from the first time he boards the Axiom, tries to clean WALL-E, because his sensors indicate that basically he's 100% "Foreign Contaminate".

  • the robot on the front of the case on the left is called M-O he turnsup quite abit into the movie he is my favourite Robot in the movie

  • I like of your mickey's voice! Very nice Video

  • This movie is just great.

  • I really like the way the packaging looks. It's very creatively designed. Although, not practical, it seems like it'd be extremely easy to get the discs scratched.

  • I'd say my top three Pixar films are Toy Story, Finding Nemo and Wall-E in no order. Wall-E was just so good! It's one of those films that just amaze me. The film is just perfect in every single way possible. It was like watching Amelie for the first time. Just blown away. Perfection.

Then it's Monster's Inc, Ratatouille, Toy Story 2, Incredibles and Bug's Life in that order.

Then Car's. I dunno, don't like Larry The Cable Guy.

  • i swear the box said something about a 3d tour in the special discs.

  • Actually, i think there is a 2-disk version. It's French and is advertised at futureshop's site. Anyway, just bought the 3-disk version today. The dvd was located on 3 shelves around the store (bestbuy). 1 did not have a price tag, 2nd had $36, and the 3rd shelf had $32. The cashier charged $36 at first, but I got her to change it to $32.

  • One question (please answer it): In which languages can you run the movie? In other words, how is it dubbed and subbed?

Its important for me cause I really would like to get Wall-E for christmas but I'm from germany and we have to wait until june

till we can finally buy it (really annoying!) so please help.

  • yeah i was about to get Juno 2 disk then i saw disk 2 was a digital copy and i was like "fuck that" because i already had it on my ipod so then i got the one disk

  • at least say when you're dropping spoilers

  • I thought I avoided a lot of the spoilers...

  • I just watched it. I LOVED it.

  • @Norphax fk off d1p sh1t

  • The Pixar Story is an hour and a half long? *jumps up and down on the chair* YYEESSHH!

  • Yes. And it's good all the way through.

  • I can't get enough Pixar stuff. I have the DVD coming soon and I can't wait.

  • Seriously, Pixar needs to keep this momentum of theirs going and they'll last forever.

  • I liked this movie when i saw it and I cant believe you like Wall-e and kids movies like that but not to be mean but I think that adults can still watch kids movies it doesnt matter if your older to watch adult movies.

  • can you do a review on animated swoop

  • lol he ses cute but i dont care this guy is awsome

  • Can you do classics MEGATRON

  • Yea they kinda ripped you off... I didn't really care for the Digital Copy, (which is probably why it was 34.99) but I HAD to get the 3 disc if I wanted the extra special features that the other 1 disc dvd package did not provide... Doesn't matter THAT much since I love this movie, but... its a rip off all the same... Oh and yes I like the recylceable package it comes in... Thats really true to the environmental theme of the movie...

  • How good is the "Digital Copy", or did you bother to check it?

Is it DRM'd or is it just a straight copy of the movie for something like an iPod or Zune?

  • Nevermind, the video answered my question.

I guess I have a reason to hate the Digital Copy as well, DRM. I think DRM is killing the music industry, and now the movie industry.

  • The digital copies of movies are always crystal clear in quality. It is a handy tool, but obviously not if you'll ever need it.

  • I honestly think it's dumb to spend money manufacturing a disc that doesn't have the movie on it.

You said it had to be downloaded right? Why not put the movie on the Digital Copy Disc so you save bandwidth (1 gig files take a lot of bw) and hassle.

  • It may infact be on the disc itself. Like I said, it took five minutes to get a 1GB file. My internet is nowhere near that good.

  • It still seems like a waste.

They criminalized DVD rippers and then started selling these things.

  • They only criminalize people who rip and upload copies of DVDs. There have been legit programs to copy a DVD onto the computer for years.

This is a nice step. It gives the user an easy method of getting a movie on their computer and also makes it so they can't share it illegally.

  • It's illegal to rip a copy protected DVD here in the US.

    It's called the DMCA.

  • Meh, then why's is bad for them to legally give us the chance to copy a movie onto our computer?

The DMCA is a fishy thing all together. We have the right to do what we see fit with a movie/cd we purchase as long as we aren't distributing it to others.

  • It's all crazy to me.

I do agree with you that they don't need to claim it as another disc.

  • But I was somewhat wrong in the video. Since the only other version is a single disc you're paying for a Special Two Disc Edition WITH bonus Digital copy.

  • Yeah...I know about that.

But using the word "bonus" implies that it's an extra feature...anyone can make a 1 GB rip of the movie...it just seems like a way for them to make more money as well...

They somehow stop us from ripping our own, then want to sell us a second copy of the movie that just happens to have certain limits. Yep, corporate America at its finest.

  • They're giving people who don't have a means to copy movies themselves a way to do it.

And they're selling us two extra discs, one of which is a full movie itself (The Pixar Story). Not just one. Amazon has the Single Edition of Wall-E for around $15 and the Three Disc for $22. I don't see any reason to complain about that.

  • I'm not complaining about the second disc...

It's just they market a third disc when it wasn't a true third disc (IMO).

PS: How good is the movie itself? You said it ranked up with Toy Story...so it must be good.

  • It is a disc though... If you fling it, it will soar.

    The movie is amazing.

  • Well, at least they didn't market it as a "3 DVD Movie"

  • Is the digital file protected in some other way too? Because I tried to import the digital copy into my video editor (Sony Vegas 5) but it just gave me an error message.

  • is there a 3 disc edition in the uk?

  • I was going to buy Rataouille dvd or Blue-Ray, but it's on Starz all the time.

  • I LOVE WALL-E! It's sad but very good.

  • Well this was a nice detail info video about the 3 disc special wall-e movie.

Better then going over the whole movie.

You stated things related to the dvd's and not focused to much on the movie.

    Way to go JT.!

  • I really love this movie. I should know I seen it like 5 times in the theaters.Great review as always sir.

  • must see gundam review from you sir! must see! you make one now!. yes wall e was good. i dont think anything well ever top toy story in my mind. although with toy story 3 coming out in 2 years who knows lolololol.

  • Haha, I still haven't gotten a Gundam... Soon though... I hope.

  • Your head is going to spin. There are more Gundams that you can shake a stick at.

  • Oh I know. Luckily I only plan to get the 1/60 scale ones.

  • Thanks, Sportimus.

  • I'm so f-ing jealous of you now. I hate you. :P J/K You're too cool to hate. Really cool review as always, man. Take care. :)

  • Haha, Oh I know many people who hate me. It's my gift. :D

  • Nah, you're a good guy, man. I think I'll go with the regular one, as it basically has everything exept the digital copy thing, which I don't care for anyway.

  • Well I was wrong. There's only a single disc edition and a three disc. You're better off going with the bigger package.

  • Can you put a Digital copy DVD thing on a PSP?

  • I'd imagine so. I've never tried it before so I didn't want to say you could in the video.

If not there are plenty of programs that can convert a DVD into a video format for your computer/PSP.

  • Thanks I actual use the space on my PSP for videos.

  • its more about the memory stick.. AVI and MPEG work pretty good on psp so as far as the digi copy goes... it depends on the format

  • wow

    a DVD good for you

  • Yes, good for me indeed.

  • I got this Yesterday on Blu-Ray! I LOVE IT! One Of The Best Movies of the Year! I LOVE WALL-E! Great Review!

  • Gracias Senor.

  • i love walle

  • Toy Story is my favorite Pixar movie. But WALL-E moved way up to one of my favorite Pixar movie. It didn't beat Toy Story for me, but beat my other favorites Toy Story 2 and A Bug's Life. I just love the idea of robots and how the Earth's condition causes everyone to live out on the Axiom.

  • Same. It's right about tied with Toy Story as my favorite Pixar movie.

I just love robots and the technology behind them.

  • I applied for an animation job at pixar a few weeks ago, and I never heard anything from them, I guess that means I suck, LOL.

I did have a guy from lucas films animation in singapore ask me about doing cloth simulations on time, but after I sent him my resume, he never wrote me back.

well, I might have to go get this just to see the burn-e short.

    Take it easy, man.

  • Nah, your animations are really good. May keep on the applications. Since they went through their own problems getting started I bet they'd give people more of a chance than anyone.

And yeah, The Burn-e short is good. I think someone even posted it on here.

  • Thanks, man.

Yeah, I might keep on trying. I might try dreamworks too.

  • I love your work. Don't be discouraged though. Getting in is a b**ch, and I live in the Bay Area. Skywalker Ranch is just over the GG Bridge, and Pixar is on the East bay. Ya have keep trying. Also look into Dreamworks.

  • who cares^

nice review i wanted to see it in theaters but you know how it is theres this one really cool movie but theres this other really cool movie and you cant decide which one to see needless to say i chose the other movie

  • I didn't even see it in theaters either. I wanted to, but couldn't find the time to get to it.

    Great movie though.

  • Holy...crap...they made a 3-disc addition? I need to go to a store right away!

  • Don't let the name fool you, it's just the two disc edition with a digital copy of the movie.
