I suppose you could argue that the state couldn't afford the program, but really? The argument she picked smacked of heartlessness. But at least she wasn't being an "elitist" like those lower income kids were.
Yeah, a very good case could indeed be made about that. They claim to be Christian but only walk it superficially...just like the Pharisees did in the old days...the know-it-all's who did not practice what they preached, were corrupt up to their head dresses, and chastised all who opposed them, only their interpretation of "the Law" was what mattered. Sad, really sad.
LOL... Even as somebody who is a libertarian, who simply CANNOT STAND Olbermann, i must agree with his (and Colbert's) position on this batshit crazy Congresswoman... WTF is she thinking??? Quite possibly one of the dumbest statements of all time, about hunger being a great motivator, so repeal the meals for the needy kids... Insane... That woman is a crazy ass...
The sad thing is, this is not a surprise at all. It's this type of collective non-thinking that has GOP right where they put themselves. Have you ever seen an alephant eat itself before? One bite at a time GOP, one bite at a time. At least more and more people see right through their tactics, and substitution of real ideas for talking points that can only drive the feverishly religious, and the least educated into a frenzy, but not a person who knows how to think for themselves. GOP rots.

And this is why I love watching the Colbert Report. Brilliant satire.

Davis' words and political philosophy are profoundly anti-Christian. Matthew 7:22-23 describes her fate...
