The vast majority of the island's inhabitants come from the same stock, and are related to continental populations like the Basques. Later invasions and incomers did affect that, but to a much smaller extent. The Celts are NOT Germanic, and they are NOT Nordic. They are genetically and culturally distinct. The Vikings, Normans etc were always a minority in Scotland.

Celticism originated in the Halstatt region of Germany (now Austria). Europe North of the Med is Nordic (German word for Northern).

How on earth can you say that Celts are NOT Nordic?! Nordic Europe encompasses Teuton, Slav and Celt.

Aryan is the simply the orginal term for Indo-Germanic. (which Celts were a part of)
