The Librarian was my favorite of all. Billy Van was so talented. RIP Billy Van, you made a difference in my childhood. Thank you kabukiwolf for the wonderful memories.

Ok, my two older brothers (12 and 14 years older than me) used to TERRIFY me with this show every Saturday morning!!! Now I'm 40 and the Librarian STILL creeps me out! LOL
LOL! I absolutely STILL love this show! I remember being a little kid and always waiting week after week to be absolutely terrified..thinking each week "okay this time he's going to scare me" and it never happened but I still held on to hope each week. ROFL!
RIP Billy Van. Thank you SO much for the pleasant childhood memories!
This was such a good show. And brings back so much memories. It's been over 25 years since I watched this show. Another classic much like G.I. Joe and Transformers.
They should do a show like this again. But then again, nobody will be like Billy Van. He was the best. Portraying 10 characters to perfection. Just awesome stuff. He should've been on SNL or something.
I guess perhaps who could follow in his footsteps are people like Mike Myers, Will Farrel, Ben Stiller, etc.
my uncle introduced me to this show...librarian was the best...I am suprised there is only 1 post of the librarian skit on the tube...i have every episode of this show on VHS ....Librarian is the best....Billy Van Was a well rounded actor that could play any Character! thanx For Posting :-)
Is funny, I always enjoyed scary movies, even though they scared the shit out of me, Vincent Price was always my favorite, the best!!!maybe this is the reason why I can't sleep alone. Lol
Thank You for posting this. I lived in NW Ohio when I was a kid. I watched this show a few times and when I got older I wanted to know what it was called. Coul'nt find it until now. (vincent price) Great Stuff!!!!
Oh,yes, the Librarian was my favorite sketch from the show. And it was a spoof on those who say nursery rhymes and children's stories are horrifying to little children. That came from psychologists who were afraid of their own shadows. Billy Van showed them, LOL!
This was my fav! I loved when he yelled at Zanzibar the Castle ghost who always knocked books off the shelves and made a funny laugh, great stuff, glad it's on Space, Drive-In, and TV-Land, too bad there is no Wolfman psychedelic music scenes though :(
The Librarian rules! (Reminds me a bit of Lemmy from Motorhead.) Nobody I know seems to remember this show. I grew up in the Detroit area, and we could get this in sometimes. Great to see these clips!
This was another favorite, and Billy Van should get a star on Canada's walk of Fame..he certainly deserves it. The Librarian tries to scare people but fails to do so everytime.
You were truly an amazing man, and touched so many of us playing mostly all of the characters on The Hilarious House Of Frightenstein. Thank you for the memories. The Librarian was my favorite. His introductory music was even scarier than he was.Rest in peace Billy Van.
The memories of childhood and running home from school, to turn this series on just came flooding back!! I have been trying to remember details of this program for many years - all I could remember up till just now were "sensations" but nothing clearly defined. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!
I rememeber watching the librarian and expecting him to fall down everytime he would sit down on the chair and finally, one episode he did ! I laugh my ars off !!
This reminds me of that MST3K where they're reading the childrens books which are filled with unimaginable horrors...except for "Dr. Terror's Orgy of Blood", which is a nice little tale of a picnic. XD
That's creepy music!!! lol LOVE IT!!!

If Billy Van had not died early in his life, I am sure he would have achieved some greater popularity.

Unlike many of thee, I watched this show (and LOVED it) as a ("drug-addled") adult!
In Buffalo, CHCH-TV (from Hamilton, ON) was a "local" station.
Billy Van lives on!

I wonder if this is a comment on the ineffectiveness of literature to impact the youth of the 20th century.
