hehe, it probably is! Whos' this then? I sent alot of DVDs to a guy called Alan once, who bought the whole lot i think! Aha, 1981-Alan! Threlfall if I remember?
i am surprised at the number of races she won......whenever i saw her while i was in London, she lost............it always pissed me off that Marlese Goer and co. spanked her so often. anyway, great to watch her here.........i remember the camera always seemed to be on her ass after the races.
It is very sad. Lets hope that Kwakye can emulate something of that kind of form. But back then there was Lannaman, Lynch, Cook, Goddard, Oakes, all at the same time! Now we just have a glimpse of form from 1 or 2!
Too right. The 42.43 4x100m record from 1980 should be attainable with who there is at present (I said that in 2001 but its still there), but 11.10 and 22.10? Ooh not for a long time yet more so the 200.
I know what u mean! 22.10 will stay for a LONG time! Btw...I was impressed with Sotherton this last weekend...52.43 indoors! Whats yur name? I'm kevin
Sotherton 52.43 was amazing, I would love her to run the UK trials 400 this year outdoors and try and battle for a place in the 4x400 in Bejing. Also good for her 800 this weekend (fingers crossed) with Tymiska running 2:06 this year someone can finally drag Sotherton to a fast time!
At last we now have a sprinter that appears to promise as much as Lannaman , Oaks ,Cook Lynch etc in Jeannette Kwayke, really great perfromance at the World indoors. Now hope she can stay injury free ?
fingers crossed, 7.06 is a great time. I know she has a reputation as a good 60m sprinter, but i see no reason why she can't run a great 100m now, she also has 200m speed. Fingers crossed I'd love her to finally beat the 11.10 of Kathy Cook.
That 11.10 really should have been smashed by Sonia given That Kathy really was a 200/400m athlete. It was a shame that the medical technology was not as good as it is now adays and Lannaman would have been a contender for Olympic gold
Such familiar names and faces! Seems like yesterday!

So sad that no Brit has ever come close to what these ladies were running back then.
