That's the volume of an attorney objecting while simultaneously and desperately searching their memory for any legitimate basis for the objection. There was no legitimate basis and the judge ignored the objection.
She tried to make a comeback with the old "asked and answered" objection but, of course, the witness still had not answered the question and the judge ignored that objection as well.
What's so good about it?Just an example of an egotistical ,arrogant lawyer bamboozling a nervous punter....Great.Not...Please find some real examples of clever advocacy. That's just nout.
@vizzles I see your point, this video just proves that the lawyer is lazy. Instead of asking a question in which a gesture is given, how about a real point (no pun intended) to your question.
How has no one figured this out yet? Allow me to explain... The "With A Green Tie" guy is clearly deaf, and was attempting sign language without the proper training.
I can't believe there wasn't an objection when he asked "Would you agree that most people...". There are at least 3 objections to that one that would all be sustained.
@dmed312 Probably, the other side was saying the guy on the witness stand "flipped them off". The guy on the witness stand was likely saying "no, I just put my hand in the air and pointed". The lawyer was presumably trying to establish that the other party was fully capable of understanding whatever gesture was made, and could not possibly have been confused or "misunderstood" the intention. :-)
@greyistight To make sure that when the barrister asks the questions the defendant can fully understand him, and, not use it as an excuse later in court that he had misinterpreted the question.
