Saw this id in esp Rise as well and just had to check it out. Kid is amazing and an all out inspiration. S'no wonder he puts smiles on everyones faces.
this is amazing. i played basketball this year as well, its really just a great thing. This was just outstanding, and his first 3, he KILLED that boy hahahahaha
i read about this in espn rise and had to look it up for myself. This is an inspiration to whoever has not succeeded in life. This kid must have faught so much to get to that point. i love the story and i love the character. congrats patrick and both teams for being very mature about the matter.
TIBS! I'm proud you decided to sport the number 3 buddy!
I know you've wanted this forever buddy, I can remember you in Jr. High shooting hoops with Al every day at the annex for an hour after school was out!
Just goes to show that you get what you work for, and in Tibs case he definately deserved this. Hope to see you soon
My 18 year old daughter wishes you lived in our town -- she'd like to ask you out! We saw you on the evening news and she said "Oooh, he's handsome..."
those shots are no flukes....pat can straight up stroke..during halftime of almost everygame he was out there draining shots. in the local news they had him hitting a full court shot....no sweat
Hahaha it would be really tempting to just block the crap out of one his shots, and then flex ur muscles to the crowd. Or block him, and then give Patrick one of the Dikembe finger-wags. But no in all seriousness, that was great to see, and I hope that it was extremely special and meaningful for Patrick and his family, and it's something that he remembers forever.
Congrats to Patrick...saw this story on the Today show...the act of kindness from both the Greely and Gray-New Gloucester players...esp coming from teens...gives me renewed optism for our future.
This is something the Thibodeau family should be proud of. My son Adam, 24 was born with Down syndrome and alway wished he could participate on our local schools team. Congratulation!
GO PAT!!! This is so awesome! I wish I could have been there to see him play! I can't even begin to say how proud I am of him... just a great great moment for Patrick, Greely, and sports in general
This just made me cry. Good job bro

From Toronto, Canada...
Tears in my eyes at the end there.
Bless him and the spirit of the event.
Make the controversy of things like the 100-0 girls game all the more clear.
Sport is about so much.
It's about opportunity, humanity and growth.
Bless him.
