I wish I had been there. I woulda surfed that pyroclastic flow all the way back to Sidney. So much faster than the old fashioned method of harpooning a sperm whale while wind surfing and hanging on while it takes you for a "Nantucket sleigh ride".

@GluszakDamian1 why not? before volcanic islands rise above the sea, they start below it. So it stands to reason that there would be something like this when it nears the surface of the water.
