I don't understand; why do so many girls fawn over Jremy Irons? I don't find any actractiveness in him at all, and I actually happen to be a 12 year old girl, sikly interested in older men.
this scene is needed to further the lack of seriousness that quilty tries to bring to humbert's murder of him. humbert must not, cannot, get his revenge.
@drongovids Well Humbert seems to have a genuine affection for her, while Quilty sees her solely as a sex object. There both wrong and I'm talking from the perspective of Humbert in the film not the book. But for these reasons I see Quilty as more evil than Humbert and I was just glad when he was shot.
Why the fuck did they take this out? It's another scene, just that < .< there's nothing bad with it.

@jenpannell85 no the one from the 60's is really toned down

@jenpannell85 Read the book to know why he killed Quilty. If someone reveals it here, it'll be a major spoiler!

@UnyieldingDefiance yeah i've not seen the film for a very long time whereas i read the book only recently, so i'm coming from that point of view.

@UnyieldingDefiance Quilty was insane stalking Lo! I sorta side with Humbert, but he deserved a good beating himself.

@drongovids I agree - Quilty is just more honest about his motives and doesn't dress them up with a bunch of romantic bullsh*t.
