ok, my ds broke at the hinge on the right side of the ds (not where the wires go up to the screen). do I need to somehow replace the entire top, or is there a piece i can put in. the part that broke was the part attatched to the top part.

on your site when ordering parts is the DSi top screen the same as the DS lite top screen

@bioburn Maybe. It will depend on how bad the parts got damaged when it came apart. Yes it can be done if no damage.

@99krazyboi From the description you gave it sounds like you might just need to replace the touch panel. It is part number NDSL-2229 at DirectFix com

@SadisticEmoRockChick No. In order to get the top screen off you need to remove the bottom and hinge. The cable from the top screen connects via the hinge to the main board on the bottom.

my ds lite game card reader is a bit stiff and the games dont go in aswell as they used to, i have to push down the games really hard to get them to "click in".

could i replace the ds card reader to solve the problem?

Yes, you can replace it but it will require soldering and it is not easy at all.
