  • Damn ... 3 x 3 cm paper is too tiny ^^" *go trying it with a bigger sheet*

  • So much easier than the rose

  • I DID IT AND IT DIDN'T RIP! :D

  • Gotta get a bigger paper. 15x15cm almost did it, tore just a little so 20x20 should do it just fine.

  • i learned this before but it was for a napkin

  • my paper ripped ... TEAR

  • thumbs up if your paper RIPPED!!!

  • mine, was going perfectly well, till the final part, when i DESTROYED THE PAPER

  • I tore the paper while trying to pull up the sides...

  • YOU'RE MY HERO!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I'M ALMOST THERE!!!!

  • The bigger the paper, the more pedals you can add

  • soooooooooooooo............. where was the sound til 2:56? XD fail

  • "Easily" my ass!

  • Great vid! Thanks!

  • you did it real silent like

  • This is amazing... Hard when you fold to much but I made it! YAY! THANKS ALOT!!!!! =-

  • FANTASTIC...VERY GOOD....THANKS FRIEND

  • What kind of paper are you using? I have original origami paper, but it's too thick... :-/ BTW: I love this lotus and the video... however I didn't succed in unfolding the flower... because of the paper!

  • @MrsVintage any paper should be fine. i used a paper from a notebook for my very first one and it turned out pretty well. When "peeling" out the first petals, just pull slowly and always towards the middle not pulling to the left or right. if u do it too fast or exert too much force, the paper will rip.

  • Is the paper suppose to rip :o?

  • omg that's so hard to do with a normal paper. At 2.50 I broke the 4 petals doing that u.u'

  • your a girl?

    nice hands

    nice tutorial

    nice paper,

I'm making an origami contest in 3 days :D I hope I'll get it

  • at the end when you have to curl in the little corners i actually bit them -.- dont use thick paper

  • i know! i had to use like extra extra thin paper cause my first try didnt bend at all at that point

  • mine ended up soooooo weeeeeird >.< well ill try harder nxt time`!

  • thnx so much................ ♥ u for this video thnk god i didnt endup with a pink snowball

  • Whoa that paper looks like it was made from silk! Epic!

  • it gets hard to fold

  • I got it thanks again 5 stars!

  • Thanks, looks easy I'll give it a shot.

  • Hard

  • Thank you

  • To avoid tearing, when you make the petals, instead of trying to pull the petal up, you notch the corner like this person does and pull up the petal a little, then _push_ the notch down into it. This will allow you to gently flip the petal up and avoid any damage at all. It looks like a mess when you first do it but you can smoothen out the inside with your fingers and it looks great. Keep pushing the notch back till it's flush with the rest of the paper.

  • mine looks like shit!

  • thumbs up if this happened to you....

im doing it im doing it!! 0_o wtf it ripped

  • Comment removed

  • i dont got origami paper my paper is to FET shit i whant origami paper aaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • this is really cute and easy i made one and i put my rings in it...lol

  • HAHAHA

made this at school and give some to my friends. they were all like "teach me! teach me!"

  • My paper ripped. D:

  • @ohgeezitsLOVELY mine too o.o

  • That is some epic paper..

  • The folding is a lot easier if you press down on your creases with the tip of a large pair of scissors.(:

  • awesome job man, i tryed 2 times,,, the second time i didn't ripped :D yayyay

    thank you very much

  • thanks

  • i think ill just buy some flowers.....

  • i love that i almost had it then wouldnt u know it it tore damn my girl would of loved that

  • that's some nice paper ya got there.

  • The paper gets thick, but the trick is that when you are pulling the petals out, try not to pull too hard on the paper. Instead, press down on the inside corner, forcing it inwards, and only pull upwards on the petal when you have to. :) It worked better that way for me.

Oh and I found using the flat side of a pair of scissors to flatten the creases is useful when the paper gets really thick.

Thanks for uploading this btw. ^^

  • this thing is easy to make and it beautiful. thanks for sharing

  • "ooooh who's getting married?" haha xxxx

  • I know how to make it but it gets really thick do you know any paper that wont get thick?

  • @SongLyrics56 Trying using lined copy paper, rather than just normal copy paper, it is way thinner.

  • @biggerchompy ok btw ty

  • mine ripped):

  • i made it with original paper and it didnt rip but after a while i was opening it and it riped

  • @Liliflip6

Normal origami paper would work better and it's the easiest.

  • Hey guys that can't get the thing up without ripping the paper all you have to do is this

1.give me a unused club penguin toy code(don't lie cause I'll be checking if it works) and you have to private message me it

    2.I'll tell you

  • I've end up ripping my origami paperS

  • my paper ripped. but then again i used thick paper. i'll know for next tme ^_^

  • i used like the calender paper it got thick but it worked :]

  • @BnanaXD yupphh ikr my fingerz HURTTT

  • my lotus is flat ? :D

  • how do u do the bit after u fold the lil corners coz mine keeps riping at the sides

  • i started off with a really small square and guess what.......... IT DIED.

  • i have a good question for you..

what kind of paper you use to make this as easy lotus?

  • i ended up with all the petals ripped except for two...

  • well that was pretty easy except that I ripped ever petal when I flipped them up. haha.

  • i did it! yay.. mine is a bit wanky but it looks pretty good for a first attempt :] <3

  • Ha, my name's Lotus :D

  • thank you now i can give it to my boyfriend

  • How should we know who's getting married?

  • Looks easy but what the hell kind of paper are you using? Mine was pretty thin and it kept ripping everywhere.

  • @angela1761

I used thin paper as well, but the key may have been that her paper was very large. If you use a small sheet like I did (I had the ripping problem once as well) it stresses the paper with so many folds.

The design was really simple and worked well though. :'D

  • WOW, I' ve done it!!!it´s pretty cool and pretty easy!!!congratulations for de video

  • I used the regular sized origami squares and this was a pain. The folding was difficult and the petals ripped. Pewp!

  • dude, u heard ALOT for the day xD

  • i tried to do it with a napkin and it worked perfectly well

  • it didnt rip :D

    it isnt exactly easy though...

was there supposed to be sound cuz all i heard was some1 on the phone talking at the end...

  • thank Q, its so easy and looks soo fine, i made mine white good for a candle

  • ok i did this with origami paper and it ripped quite a few times. i do a lot of origami but idk i probably just hav to keep making them until i find out the secret to not ripping the petals esp. the 2 row of petals

  • Look easy

  • mine worked, used an old artbooks paper too, not thin stuff...had to use my teeth at the fiinal few stages , not ez at the end to not destroy, 2 small rips, nothing noticable

  • haha meet too i used my teeth to fold the little thing to make the petals

  • MINE RIPPED D: i was at the last part too!!!!!

  • what kind of paper are u using

  • diamond its PAPER !

  • my parper ripped lol

  • the paper gets really thick

  • thanks for this tutorial! Unfortunately, I don't have origami paper & the type of paper I used to create the lotus flower is too thick. :/

  • omg wen i said wow u said wow also weird

  • as you do to bend it if it breaks

  • i have trouble at the last part my paper always rips

  • its really hard part.. i tried it two times.. and i done it ; )

try use bigger square or slimmer sheet of paper

  • i DID IT!!! YAAAY!

  • WOW Butiful!!! What king paper did you use???

  • greatrune11 you are a failure 6 by 6 inch is EXACTLY the same as 15 by 15 cm

  • I know! I explained it for English/American users AND Dutch users

  • i couldnt understand the parts between 2:32-2:40

  • are u a beginer? this is pretty easy but still cool i can make an origami dragon takes 1 day thogh

  • lolz thats easy dannysmarte. i make it in two minutes

  • Great thanks for sharing :)

  • draw with a crayon all over the bottom fairly thick. It will float on water. Put em in the tub for your laaaadddyyyy.

  • wow..this is awesome..thanks so much :) the trick is to use as thin a piece of paper as possible..could you please tell me which type of paper you use for origami?

    Thanks again.. :)

  • 6 by 6 inch or 15 by 15 cm

  • thanks. this is a really good video. I didnt know that making a lotus could be so easy. except when i pull the thing up to make the petal, it almost always tears...so irritating. again...great video! xD

  • Hey this is very nice.

My 8 year oldson enjoyed doing it. He also learned to do it in a neat way without getting irritated.

  • Wow im gonna do it

    But do girls love lotus?

  • ofcourse girls love a lotus :D

    well

    i do

    and i am a girl ? XD

oke :D well we all love lotus

  • ur rite

  • mine is dung...

  • Dear God, I love you soo much! I hadn't done this model in years and had forgotten the last few steps to make the lotus. Every book I've found that had a lotus model wasn't the same as this particular model. I'm so grateful now that I've been able to find it. Thank you!

  • nice! try origami paper.

  • actually i used printer paper and it worked

  • thanks

  • Hey! What role did you use? And what were the measures of role?

  • i did it perfectly!

  • A little too fast do you think you could slow down a bit? If so that would be great! ^_^ :)

  • you know there is a pause button and you can pick any point in the video to play at right?

  • i know rite? cant ppl use their brains!

  • If you dont have rice paper, or the special origami paper. You can use newspaper, and dye them different colors with food coloring a warm water if you wanted. Then after put them on a flat surface to dry. Or for a faster drying, grab a hair dryer. :]

  • i did it wrong??i followed all of the steps correctly but then on the very last part where u flip the leaves i messed up tht part??!instead of like the vid i folded in from the corners

  • I think you need really tine paper..

  • This is so easy I am 12 and got it perfect on my first try

  • Thanks for the video!

I couldnt do it the first time, but the second i did it easy!

    Thanks again!

  • OMG I had a tough time doing that lotus thing!.

  • How make are you papers?

  • i did it awsome!

  • very good video.

am I the only one who's paper got super duper thickk?

  • No mine got super thick too, i guess we need some other sheet of paper ^^

  • How do you turn the petals inside out without the paper ripping? I just tried it three times.

  • I got mine on the third try. To get it without ripping, I bring it up and around and keep doing that until it works, don't go fast and don't force it
