@adamraywilson We've left ours alone quite a bit & for up to 8-10 hours. But he has a buddy! Our Shetland Sheepdog Bart is very laid back & TuffGuy senses it. He's still very upset when we leave, especially when I go because he & I bonded while I was sick. I never left the house, except to go to the hospital or to see a doctor, so we were always together. Make sure you begin with short trips away, 30 minutes or so & work up. That way he or she always knows you are coming back! Awesome companion!
@CrayonMan100 My Puggle appears to be skittish but if confronted will not back down! He does NOT like most strangers, if they try to pet him on a walk for instance! But once in our house & accepted by me or one of my family? He just wants to be where they are long enough to see if he likes them or not. If he doesn't like them, he leaves them alone, ignores them! But if he likes them, like most of my clients, he will stay with them as long as they are in the house & will greet them from then on!
ok one thing I see wrong is you have a regular collar on him... I was told never to put one on a pug (yes I have a pug of my very own) cause it can restrict their breathing
@DjMonkeyMan That is a fallacy! As long as you don't tighten the collar they are just fine. It is all a matter of degree. Best of luck...they are wonderful companions!
how long can they be left alone plz help?
