I am an airplane mechanic, and I would a jet engine build into a car. I have a Kamov heli's cylinder head also :) Its engine is a massive Russian made, and 10200 cubic centimeter.

baseball, incorrect an aircraft maintenance engineer is the mechanic which can sign off on the aircraft, without the signature of an AME the plane cannot fly

@hawker800FO AME? Are you confused with the A&P mechanic with an IA-Inspection Authorization? They are the only ones able to sign off on 100hr and Annual Inspections along with Major Repairs and Alterations. I've never heard of an aircraft maintenance engineer.

@ARK123987 an Aircraft Flight Engineer actually flies along in the cockpit with the pilot and co pilot. They are used on large aircraft that lack the Avionics systems to take over their duties. They monitor instruments in flight, calculate take off and landing requirements, set the throttle for take-off, and various other duties. I know about "AME" hawker is talking about.

@shietalkr Youtube isn't the place to look for a job. Try Aerotek.com and the Corpus Christi area in particular. There are currently a bunch of A&P positions opening up there, I guarantee you get a call back.
