We will never know but having said that I think they are a lot closer then you think.

There both the same age and are both the front girls for there groups. You always find them backstage together when there groups are preforming together.

Also in a magazine that only came out about a month ago Airi was asked out of ANYONE in Hello! project if she was a male character for a love comedy who would she choose for her female counterpart she choose Risako.
