I do what I want to say is that this generation of consoles it is adjustable for hardware, and not all about the xbox had a HDD, is as in "Battlefield 3" and "Rage", have to be optional installation of DVDs, the Exclusive games of xbox are VERY MUCH far from being a waste. Halo and Forza are miles away from Killzone, Resistance and GT together.And "Gears Of War 3" more than compensates for the "infamous" and games like "Ico".

no technically speaking ps3 is stronger than xbox 360. Also from what i have seen (even we talk about two totally different games) Rage without doubt is not as good as Uncharted 3 in terms of graphics , Gears of War 3 "maybe" (even though its graphic engine is not something special compared to Uncharted 3 engine) but not Rage. Uncharted 3 will be a top quality game in every aspect.

Gorgeous game though, but it has been tweaked by IGN (the original uploaders on YT and game sites).
@awesomeiguy The eye can detect up to 100FPS at times, depends on blurriness or clarity of the image, as well as brightness or darkness. Point of 60FPS is that things operations such as shooting and explosions are twice as responsive, for example there is a slight delay in BFBC2 when you deal enough damage to kill and enemy and then when they actually die. 60FPS isn't required, I was just saying the game isn't running at 60FPS, as people have been asking, the video was just rendered at that FPS.
It says alot about a game company when people claim its gameplay footage must be fake! Welldone ND! @UltimateHater666 the animation in general is kinda cartoonish, it's more of a style really. Reminds me of some Pixar movies. It took a while for me to get used to the climbing animation after playing Assassin's Creed but I came around eventually.

@Ultizer yeah that was a awesome looking game, but it was a pc exclusive, and its a given that a high end pc exclusive will look better than a high end console exclusive. But crysis 2 on ps3 has got nothing on uncharted 3, and i think uncharted 3 is on par with crysis warhead on pc.
@Ultizer it really is not man, crysis 2 was the biggest let down of the decade in terms of graphics, it was a dumbed version of an aged (but powerful) engine but not THAT powerful. Even uncharted 2 looked better than crysis 2 (on ps3) there were far more details and polygons on screen in uncharted and better antialiasing FOR SURE! UC2 also had higher res textures, noticably better lighting.

@Ultizer one, you don't know anything about hardware so stfu. two, IGN is showing video that ND sent them, which the game runs native 720p. it uses MLAA which is apparently working really well with the Cell and with this game's engine. and three, the cell is a piece of shit if its coded by a shit coder but the people at ND have shown time and time again that they know how to use it. yes the ps3's GPU is a POS, but it doesn't matter because when paired with the cell it does its job well.

You cannot compare apples with lemons.
Rage has free roaming environments while it run on 60 fps, and a new kind of texture technique for the game.
And Uncharted 3 is based on multiple calculations depend on whats happening on screen at the same time.
Desert sand winds, drakes footsteps, falling objects etc and yet very well graphically done.

@DR4GONK4ZUM4 The consoles are planned out by both Sony and Microsoft at least a year before they are released. It's been 5 years since the PS3 has been released and 6 years since it was designed and announced at E3.
And I'm not amazed at all at these graphics. Graphics better than this have been around since 2007. It looks great, but it's no second coming of christ
What this game does have is great gameplay, great characters and story. I don't care how good a game looks if it isn't very good.

@Ultizer it really is not man, crysis 2 was the biggest let down of the decade in terms of graphics, it was a dumbed version of an aged (but powerful) engine but not THAT powerful. Even uncharted 2 looked better than crysis 2 (on ps3) there were far more details and polygons on screen in uncharted and better antialiasing FOR SURE! UC2 also had higher res textures, noticably better lighting.

IGN most likely increased the resolution aswell, im not sure about AA, but i didnt notice any jaggies
and no, the Cell is a piece of shit and so is the PS3's gpu, the only reason this looks better than Uncharted 2 is because it only has to render a constant brown texture (desert) instead of a jungle/whole town
its not maxing out the PS3, its smoke and mirrors

@Ultizer one, you don't know anything about hardware so stfu. two, IGN is showing video that ND sent them, which the game runs native 720p. it uses MLAA which is apparently working really well with the Cell and with this game's engine. and three, the cell is a piece of shit if its coded by a shit coder but the people at ND have shown time and time again that they know how to use it. yes the ps3's GPU is a POS, but it doesn't matter because when paired with the cell it does its job well.

@Ultizer nice 'statistics' and how is it running at 60 fps??? i have fraps and recorded IGN it as running at 30 fps and dipped to 29 at the most intense scene. It is running in mlaa, case I watched this on my 32 inch screen by downloading to ps3... it looks amazing but its mlaa still. and anyways naughty dog engine 2.0 was made to be run on cell broadband engine, so there is no such 'devkit'. Once again the resolution is 720 p dick wad. Oh and where s your 'confirmation' link?

Thats why there are games like killzone, god of war and uncharted that ALL look better than games like gears of war.
