  • Great song and radio never killed it. Let's hope Glee doesn't do a cover and expose a new generation to this hidden treasure from early 2000. Oh and 9/11 was an inside job!

  • music was at a peak of awesomeness in 2000, then 9/11 happened and our entire country went to shit.

  • why does this have only 200k views...

  • thank you for posting, this is the radio version i knew and was looking for, energetic. He's blackness is surprising for most cause the real truth is how many bands do you know with a black lead singer and also in the genre?. i know 3 and are not current bands or this genre.

  • i just dont get y ppl r so shocked that he lack like oh my black guy singing god song instead of r&b oh my lol

  • amazing song.

  • i wish this version was on the album because its better than the other version

  • i love this song it is the best everrrrrrrrrrrrrr........... let god touch us ...........give your heart to him...and say thank you that he takes your sins away for you...........that's why he is my favorite...all the time ....thank you for reading this and god bless you .....

  • I love this song!

  • Why doesn't this have many viewers???

  • never gets old:)

  • I want this song and the Verve's "This Time" played at my viewing.

  • Way back in 2000, my little band opened for these guys in Lafayette, La. on 'the strip'. The show rocked. They rocked. They opened with Wallflower and I thought my ears were going to bleed in the best way possible... but sadly, because they never really took off, Lafayette remained mostly untouched. Waymon is incredibly talented, and the rest of the band followed suit. Sorry world, Splender never got to explode on to the music scene. I can't explain it. Maybe God can...

  • I kept hearing this song at work. So one day I wrote down some of the lyrics then Googled and downloaded. Thankyou modern day technology!

  • First heard this song on Dawson's Creek. I ordered the soundtrack just for the song. I don't know that I have ever heard it on the radio and I havent heard the other version. Where would I hear that at?

  • yeah its different from the album version!yet same good quality song!hehe

  • @arabfreak umm y is that surprising lol

  • Only one dislike i'm not suprised.....

  • Ok gotta say I had no idea the lead singer was black lol just from hearing is voice on the song I was expecting a white dude.

  • @puertoricanmama92 yeahhh me too!! Goshhh, was that a wonderful surprise...wonder what life would be like without videos...lol

  • @puertoricanmama92 Same here. I was expecting someone like Tal Bachman or Bon Jovi. lol

  • @puertoricanmama92 The lead singer is a very cool laid back dude and a great guy all around. I know him personally, and he's as nice as a person as he is talented. He's doing movie production and other things like it since Splender broke up, but I think that you'll be seeing him and more things with new music and movies in the near future. :-)

  • i miss u bhebz.. nainlove talaga ko sau..!

    i think god can explain...

  • blast from the past....

  • this album helped me get thru high school...damn time flies

  • @buttlord123 No kidding. I remember going on a road trip, laying in the back seat of the car and this song came on. I felt like it was playing for me because of the difficult time I was going through, Back then I was 17...now I'm almost 29. I am so glad I found this.

  • ....this is great....thanks for posting the vid....B

  • @jroberts7387 funny i didnt know the band mates were crackers . . .Idiot

  • Devine!!! What a beautiful song.. i miss these guys..

  • Come on people....that's not Wayne Brady on vocals...it's Antoine Dodson.

Anyway, this song is a masterpiece; strong melody and beautiful chord progression, and different from their 1999 version because the production is a lot more elaborate, not to mention that it has a "live" sound.

  • this really sound different from when i heard it b4...new studio version ?

  • Check out John and James new band Edisun

  • I didn't know the lead singer for Splender was black... One of my favorite songs

  • i have not heard this song in at least 10 years and i can't believe i still know all the words. memories!!

  • holy shizz! the lead singer wz Wayne Brady?? cool

  • I 've a lot of good memoires associated with that song :)

  • ......like this song!

  • omg am i the only one who feels the same, good shit like this, like the 90s, its been a decade maaan,, time is a killer.

  • Wayne Brady rox

  • @tannerutah

That's not Wayne Brady... That's Waymon Boone

  • All seeing eye. YouTube: New World Order. It allso means the 3rd eye which humanity needs to discover to evolve. F*** the illuminati scum.

  • Holy crap, I just happened upon this. This takes me back a decade. I used to dig this tune. It takes me back to my sophomore year of college, and it makes me think about that great times I had with a girl I was dating. :)

  • Does this sound different than the album version to anyone else?

  • @DCLT05 Yeah I think its in a different key or something. Im pretty sure the version on the album is in a higher key

  • This version is a re-recording; it was featured in an episode of Dawson's Creek (and on one of the show's compilation soundtracks). Far as I can tell, the two versions very only slightly in terms of vocals and instrumentation, but this one has far better mastering than the album version, giving the song much greater depth. Frankly, I prefer this version. ^.^

  • @DCLT05 Definitely. I think albums better.

  • @DCLT05 Definitely, but then again... only left head phone speaker works haha. But yeah. I agree.

  • @DCLT05 yea i believe so..the way the drums were played for the song differs the ones played on the album. probably an MTV version.

  • @DCLT05 They recorded the song again for the video. It's weird.

  • @DCLT05 Yeah, they recorded it in a drop key. It was alot higher before.

  • @DCLT05 It is different...there are two versions of this song Radio and Album

  • @DCLT05 its the radio version

  • @DCLT05 it is different... it's in a lower pitch... don't know why they did that... the other sounds more... "powerful" if you wish...

  • @DCLT05 Yes! It's sounds very different.

  • ...so much better than you guessed.

  • omgawd my step uncle is in this band XD

  • As others have said, its about the things "we" don't understand, why things happen, why some things don't work out, only "God" knows.

  • great fuken Song!! great band! But what was fucked up was because they got know credit!!

  • I love this song but I hate this Video. It has the "One Eye" everywhere from the back of the dollar.

  • my song of the week! I will keep this song playing until I will fully understand what you have done to me..

  • OMG I didn't know the lead singer was a black guy!!!! Not that it matters because we need MORE GROUPS / BANDS where you got a mix of races!!!!

  • ..whats the red balls lol.. with eyes lol.. creepy

  • @raiders2000 i think it portrays that the big man up there is watching... always... so if you get shit for anything.... He was looking and He might have the explanation

  • Saw these guys with Pound in Pensacola and had a few drinks with 'em too! ALL of them were very cool and nice to chat with and they singed are tickets as well!

  • another great todd rundgren production

  • I always knew he was black.. Im a fan,, i remember when this was played on the radio..so i went out and bought the CD :)

  • ..when did they update this song? ...great band.. nothing beats the original version tho :)

  • I honestly NEVER wouldv'e guessed that he's black without seeing him! [not racist]

    LOVE this song

  • Great Song. Such and underrated band. Just one of the many in the 90's.

  • a lot of people don't know what this song is about. most just think it's a love song but it's really about stalker.

  • @tonymagnifico Where is your reference for that? I've been wanting to know more about what the lyrics mean.

  • what happened to rock like this i had this cd back in the day i really dont understand rock music now a days

  • I love this song

  • I thought this song was about getting treated different because of your race. "i believe i'm the same I get carried away" BTW he has an amazing voice. His name is Waymon Boone!!!

  • This reminds me of high school

  • Whoa I never knew the lead singer was black!

  • @jroberts7387 I was shocked when I first found out too!

I have a feeling the song is about interracial relationships.

  • love this song...

  • this song has always given my shivers.

  • @ kjh052001- where did you hear that??! i absolutely love splender...waymons voice is incredible..omg i can't wait!!!

  • no phelly2, songs still have substance. it's your statements that have none.

  • Some songs do. They are few and far between.

  • Splender has a new cd coming out this year called The Human Condition. I can't wait! I have always loved this band.

  • AWESOME!

  • Good old 90's music. When songs actually had substance.

  • @phelly2 more like between 1996 to 2001. since 2001 its all about autotune

  • @phelly2 Agreed....I'm compiling a list of my favs from the 80s/90s, and both decades have easily exceeded 200 songs....the last decade has done well to see 50 - 100 hits.

  • nice song
