Given the preservation of the remains frm earlier & later periods, it is clear tht Jerusalem in the time of David & Solomon was a small city, perhaps with a small citadel for the king, but in any event it was not the capital of an empire as described in the Bible.
Palestine was under Egyptian rule until the middle of the 12th century BCE. The Egyptians' administrative centers were located in Gaza, Yaffo and Beit She'an. Egyptian findings have also been discovered in many locations on both sides of the Jordan River. This striking presence is not mentioned in the biblical account.....THE EXODUS NEVER TOOK PLACE

the reason the song is called This Land Is Mine is because it refers to the land that God promised to his people, the Isrealites. the reason the song is called This Land Is Mine is because it refers to the land that God promised to his people, the Isrealites. I'm guessing this song was probably written first person for Joshua, who led them into the Promised Land. So maybe This Land Is Ours would be more appropriate nowadays, but that's not what God promised.

Israel sends you text messages and warnings during attacks. Palestinians would never do that. No one in the history of the world has ever warned civilians of impending attacks. Come to terms with the Jewish state and its existence. Only then can there be peace.

@niflap I don't think it is sufficient to call it a "suicide" bomber - most suicides involve only the suicidal victim what these people do is murder. homicide bomber is much closer to the truth

@Robi6942 All bombers are homicide bombers. The reason there's a distinction is because a suicide bomber-not fearing death-is not detered by threats of lethal force against him/her, & has no incintive to leave the target area to relative safety. They can set the explosives off right where they are.

@Robi6942 Isreal, has used suicide bombers, so yoru statement is incorrect. Remember, this conflict is very old, technically the Palestines are the ones who were first put out by the Isrealites. Its way too complicated to explain here, but its a true fact. Sadly only hatred and lack of education in history and diplomacy is stopping the two side from forming a peace treaty. Both sides only teach their stories and there is no balanced education..Very sad. BTW. It is called a suicide bomber.

When has Israel EVER used a suicide bomber or specifically targetted a non - military target?? Israel takes the utmost care to MINIMISE civillian casualties and deaths. The IDF inform hamas et al of their intended target and even drop leaflets from the air to warn civillians to vacate the area PRIOR to an attack.

@Robi6942 Oh so just last Monday nights bombing by Israel that killed 18 civilians, 7 of whom were children was a military target....As I said this subject is way too complicated for there to be a right or wrong, but if you are going to comment on it don't just tell one side of the story. Israel has done terrible things to the Palestian people and the truth is the same for the reverse, but don't say that Israel is totally innocent in this either.
