  • was she a wrestler?

  • This kind of cute...in an old lady way.

Not my cup of tea, but at least she has nice voice.

  • I think she used to sing in Rene's french cafe in allo allo

  • I bet Mr. Miller was wishing she'd used her maiden name.

  • She was an accomplished classical singer. At first she wasn't in on the joke. The producers had her sing and sing until her voice fatigued. They then released it as a comedy album. Humiliating her. However, like any smart woman who has mouths to feed, when the album started selling millions and made her famous she jumped on the bandwagon. Quick. I love the humor. I have it on my Ipod and smile every time it comes up.

  • let me get this right.... she sounds like she ate a bird then whistled like it. Then, She slipped on a banana peel and was eating cake. She chocked on the cake. Then, she smacked her head and got dizzy and smiled for some weird reason. Then sung like crap. Thumbs up If I am right. :3

  • my ears! she sounds like an old woman chocking on a banana peel. while singing at a concert at the E.R! LOL!

  • Oh my God, I haven't thought about her for YEARS.

  • And for good reason you haven't thought of her in years.

  • SHE DID NOT WRITE THIS SONG AND HER VOICE IS ATROCIOUS!

  • we all have talents...some in one area or another. She did pen a great song didnt she.

  • Beautiful.

  • AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • oh, i get it now. mrs. miller is the mother of the president of capitol records.

  • I like the way she's holding that microphone ... like it's her penis

  • I read about this lady years ago. Even worse than I imagined. OMG the whistling, I am crying with laughter right now! This a gem, definately a tune for downloading.

  • please tell me she's stopped recording... :^)

  • I simply cannot be in a bad mood while listening to Mrs. Miller. I will laugh EVERY SINGLE TIME I hear this song LOL

  • AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA OH GOD I CANT STOP LAUGHING

  • Mrs. Miller makes Tiny Tim sound great by comparison! LOL☺

  • She's back! Susan Boyle reincarnated !!

  • @1957thack What? How can a still living singer reincarnate into someone who died in the 90's? ლ(ಠ益ಠლ

  • that microphone looks so small in her huge hand !

  • myyyyyy eeeeeaaaaarss!

  • oooohhhh!!! yuck she is like a dead cow! LOL! :)

  • :) Better than that lady gaga...

  • Hooray! Mrs. Miller has always been a fav of mine.

  • "swing it mrs m" one word.......PAINFUL

  • 1:38 She's laughing :D How cute

  • briiliant

  • Are my ears supposed to bleed? if so then i LOVE it!

  • My ears are bleeding!!!

  • I remember hearing her sing "A Hard Days NIght" once, and my brother and I laughed so hard I wet myself.

  • classic song :)

  • Many of the comments here rival Mrs. Miller for incompetence.

  • oh my gor!

  • This is the only one of hers that I haven't almost wished I'd died laughing :D lol

  • Its like listening to my nan singing in church

  • I heard this when I was a little kid. I laughed and laughed. I love it.

  • @jocksliver7 You can't judge vocal talent on just looks. That is insipid. But that is what the young kids today are trained into doing and thinking these days as they conform to marketing from major corporations.

That is why they bizarrely believe that Kei$ha can sing.

If you compare Petula Clark's version of this song to Ms. Miller's, Clark's was lovely. Not because of her goodlooks, but 'cuz she had a lovely voice, as did many Brit singers of her day like Dusty Springfield & Marianne Faithful

  • That's O.K,other crooners such as Tony Bennett,(Something) Frank Sinatra(Bad,Bad,Leroy Brown),& Andy Williams ( I Think I Love You) also sounded foolish singing pop hits of the day, For the record,I like all three singers, just not those versions.

  • Lucky for Petula Clark she beat Mrs Miller recording this song first. Otherwise Petula's recording career may have never taken off.

  • Some record exec at Capitol Records had to have been doing a lot of acid to have given out this record contract.

  • @dylanesque66 ...you must be on the right track, but so what? 45 years on it is still bringing us waves of joy and lotsa fun!! Just to remind us that ( as someone says above, paraphrasing DEVO) we're all Mrs Millers! Thank god! Anyway, that's what the world needs now, not just another Susan Boyle! Mrs Miller was the must! If she is popular again, Boyd Rice has a lot to answer for. It's really refreshing to watch her here!

  • This lady could have made a bundle if she would have made a Cpt. Beefheart tribute album, starting with ONE RED BEAN.

  • its like going into any karaoke bar

  • hahah fuck man i have really to laugh when she sings ^^

  • This made day!

  • the is the worst song i have ever seen :S

  • wer hört denn so ein scheiß :S

  • This whole album made me laugh SO hard when I was much younger... (Plus, the liner notes are very funny.)

  • I would hit her.

  • Bitchin'!

  • Better than Susan Boyle

  • ohmygod!!! i have this album and i am proud to say i have introduced mrs miller to all my friends!!!! i have loved this album since i was a kid!! hahahahahahaah!!!!!

  • i can't stop laughing

  • So bad that its actually good. If you really want to know if someone is cool, then see how they react to this song.

  • Petula sings worse than this now

  • Too bad Mrs. Miller and Tiny Tim didn't get together and sing the Sinatra's classic "Something Stupid".Woulda been a riot.

  • i just came

  • I remember this when I was a kid and my mom watched the Mike Douglas show, I think it was. It was either that or Merv Griffin. It was one of them. Mrs. Miller and Gloria Loring.

  • @azerosum666 Merv Griffin

  • lol i hav a teacher named ms miller

  • this voice is heaven on earth, hahahahahaha,i really need to see this lovely woman of voice,i think Almighty God need to heal hear voice with the host of heavenly Angel who sing in the tabernacle of God,or Angel micheal will clean her voice.

  • genius !!

  • I just threw down.

  • haha aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah

  • Mrs. Miller appeared often on shows like Jimmy Durante. It was a kind of a comedy skit, she singing as if she was an operatic singer. Everybody knew she wasn't. It was just part of an entertaining show that made people laugh. It was gentler times in live TV in the 50's. Younger folks today just don't understand the type of humor it was. Sad.

  • @patton5276 ...soooooooo right!

  • Oh My God.

  • I think I just threw up a little bit.

  • I actually own this album......its great!

  • I know that my hair falling out is less dramatic than my hands falling off.

  • Oh jesus

  • fact: they love this in sweden

  • LMFAO

  • musical genius!that voice, that tone!the improvisation of the lyrics.this woman is a virtuoso of the highest degree.her melodious voice can soothe even the most savage of men or beasts.music so lovely it has made the most hardened kneel and weep,as they cry desperately and shout uncontrollable,"for gods sake, turn this off!!!!"

  • This album is very good/very bad... :-) I guess AutoTune wasn't provided to Mrs Miller. :-) The whistling is priceless!

  • only in the 60's

  • I swear I almost piss my pants laughing when I hear her! Awesome!

  • greatest hits?!?!??! how can this be she sucks?!?!

  • @tennissspro

That is a matter of opinion my fellow humanoid :)

  • is this a joke????

  • @MrGiggidy90 she was no joke. she made a fortune singing this way. people couldnt get enuff. i have this album. this is 1 of the better tunes she recorded & yes that is her whistling. scallapino must have the book of lists no. 2. this is how her singing is described in the book.

  • @MrGiggidy90 yes and no

  • Ouch.

  • Wonderful - She had a hit with this is the USA in 1966 (#82) She forgets the words and even giggles. Her voice was compared to the sound of "roaches scurrying across a trash can lid." - She passed away aged 90 in 1997

  • Thanks, this gave me a laugh.

  • If she is alive this day, I reckon she'd be over a hundred.

  • Mrs. Miller.....sweetie. Forget about ever trying to sing this song again.

  • Wow, I'm off to iTunes to download the rest of the album!

  • OMG! I thought she was lost forever! I still remember my mom saying that this woman was laughing all the way to the bank. Sadly, I listened to the whole album when I was child, and I was warped forever.

  • wtf

  • I kind of like her voice, its unique

  • I once saw her in one of the clips of the Ed Sullivan Show! I wonder if the MC might have been out of his mind to cast Mrs. Miller for his show. She is another Florence Jenkins if you ask me.

  • My dog started howling.

  • this is joke, right?

  • GOD ONLY KNOWS HOW FAR MRS. MILLER WOULD OF GONE IF HER DAUGHTER DID'NT STOP HER FROM RECORDING

  • This is the cure for depression! :)

  • She sounds like Aunt Bee from The Andy Griffith Show singing 60's classics. It was hysterical when I was a kid, and is STILL hysterical. True, Capitol did put her worst sessions on vinyl but she still was an inept vocalist.

  • I actually have this record. i'm serious. it's hysterical!

  • Is there anyway we can filter out the word " " when it appears on here?

  • She was intended as a novelty but ended up being a joke which she gracefully went along with for awhile. The reason she's so off time is that she was made to do take after take of this song untl she was nearly too tired to sing...this was the end result.

    That's show biz.

  • omg^^

  • Shes the old women at the bar singing karaoke X3

  • Boyd Rice I love you!

    Watch /watch?v=j52755BoAb4

This is so fuckin' weird and sick, i got a bellyache from laughing...

  • OOPS! not what I expected or what I was looking for. LOL

    All the best to her!

  • What is the point of this?..

  • I looked up this song because, for reasons that I can not now fathom, I had an old 45 of her singing this when I was a child. I have not heard Mrs. Miller since then (thankfully). But, God Bless her for trying - she became a bit of a cult icon largely from this song - my late father called her the "Bestest baddest singer ever".

I Can't remember who, but someone once said that she sounded like roaches running around on a trash can lid. Still, a very enjoyable video.

  • I can't sing. But I can't sing to the point I'm noticed like this.

  • She's either really bad or a genius

  • Well, as my mom always said... "the bible says to make a JOYFUL noise unto the lord, it doesn't say it has to be GOOD!" HA!

  • TIMING!!! TIMING!!!! Please ALWAYS remember TIMING!!!! EEEEE- GADZZZ!!! SWING IT BABY!!!! L-O-L!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OH MY G-O-D!!! How hilariously PATHETIC!!! HA!

  • I have to give, Mrs. Miller kudo's for this and all of the other songs!

  • She may be a little off but, I like it, lol!

  • ... an' how 'bout that whistling? wow!

  • genius!!!!!

  • Mrs Miller RULES!!!! check out her phrasing.... pure genius!!!!

  • Who told her she could sing?

  • @millertas Her mother told her for years she was a star!

  • @alex568plank Yes but Mums do that anyway whether it is true or not.

  • Wow, I remember my friend's mom had this album a very long time ago and we laughed like hell listening to this over and over. The back of the album cover talks about her unique whistling technique that teh University of Pittsburgh was supposedly studing (after her husband made a generous donation to them I'm sure).

  • Gotta love random whistling in the middle of a song for no reason at all ha ha ha. Instead of taking time to remember the lyrics, she just giggles. BRAVO Mrs. Miller, you angel you.

  • Oh she´s trying. Very fun to listen to!

  • Oh dear, I really wanted to see what she looked like singing this? I imagined her on the verge of a stroke on some parts.

  • mrs. miller set the precedent for wing (of "back in black" fame)

  • There's a little Mrs. Miller in all of us...

  • @Eurodictionary And I'm trying to get her out!!!

    :)

  • Jigoooo

  • oh my gosh golly - thanks so much for posting this. I'd forgotten all about Mrs. Miller.

  • this is gay.

  • That was cheery. Thumbs up.

  • In fact, Mrs Miller was a very good singer and also had a talent for deliberately butchering a song which she used to make a lot of money.

  • hilarious...was she serious?

  • WHAT THE FUCK?!

    my ears.. argh..

  • this is better than 90% of the so called music made in the last 20 years,sadly..

  • I disagree. There are many modern day bands that are amazing. Stop listening to the radio.

  • @Quetez23 not to the degree of classic rock, those days are gone,i would be interested in who you think is good,im looking for new music thats not formulated, bubble gum rap/rock garbage.

  • I used to listen to 90% classic rock / classic metal (sabbath era) I used to believe all new music was garbage but I was looking in all the wrong places. Believe me- it takes A LOT to turn a die hard metal fan onto Ska punk and indie, but I would recommend Streetlight Manifesto, Modest Mouse, Stolen Babies, and Gogol Bordello. All of various genres, but all amazing in their own ways. Ive seen black sabbath and judas priest in concert- and by far the best concert ive been to was Gogol Bordello

  • Also there IS good rap / hip hop out there...its just not that popular... Look up Aesop Rock and Portishead. Beth Gibbons of Portishead is easily the best female vocalist ive heard in a long while.

  • @guitarz04 - lol, so true :D

  • @guitarz04 and the other 10% sounded like this before they fixed it in Pro Tools

  • have this LP - my sister and i "sang along" with mrs miller on my 50th birthday - oh, and we were drunk - and my son videotaped it.... good times...

  • @suzimar57 Put it on youtube.

  • Haha, well that really made my day :)

  • Those negro troublemakers! *her words not mine*

  • I have this album on vinyl somewhere. Might have to find it and ripping it after listening to this. My iPod deserves Mrs Miller.

  • mmmm

  • please, kill her!

she seems a cat in a mixer!

  • If going downtown means escaping Mrs. Miller's voice, then I'm outta here!

  • she sings terrible but i love her she sings so funny ;)

  • I bought this on a 45 when it came out and I laughed my butt off listening to it. I had forgotten all about mrs. miller. the 60s were full of strange entertainers like her and Tiny Tim.......and we had Laugh In too

  • she can sing... the choice of music is wrong thats all.. she has to sing hyms!

  • it's especially funny when she starts to laugh a second or forgets the words and mumbles them.

she sounds like a rock & roll florence foster jenkins

  • I heard her producer gave her false cues to make her funnier. Despite that, I LOVE MRS MILLER!

  • This is so so bad that it's great! William Hung--EAT YOUR HART OUT! lolol

  • It's horrible, but I like it, man.

  • whenever you are having a crappy day just come to this and all will be fixed...I LOVE MRS.MILLER!

  • In 1967, she performed at my junior high school (El Roble) in Claremont, CA. I will always remember how funny she was and how even the teachers laughed uncontrollably.

  • I was home sick that day. Damn!

  • Was this the woman who was on Britain's Got Talent?

  • i would have loved to have made love to mrs miller, she is gorgious

  • She laughs at 1:39. She must be taking the piss.

  • Oh my dear sweet Lord!

  • haha worst singer EVER ! LOL :P haha

  • lol good comment

  • I always loved this version of this song...I wish that I could have had this womanon my show
