As talented as they guys are Flea is just a total bad assed bass player. You can go back to Larry Graham one of the all time greats and serious inovators (to know how much look up the raves he got from artists from George Clinton & P Funk, to Zappa to James Brown etc.) for a bassist to come out firing & so exciting. For me Flea's up there close to Graham only a notch below maybe Entwhistle, Tony Levin & Pastorious. He's the high octane they race on! Love this shit! RHCP has always rocked! Peace!
