I have a AT&T infuse 4g (I997) and I tried to upgrade, I did something wrong and now doesn´t start, says: ""firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again". The pc reconogze it but, I don´t know what else I can do. Please Help.
SAMSUNG PLAYER YP-G70 and this is what I did first
1) I try to install ClockworkMod on it with odin and it install but after it did it the samsung stop working.
2) I try to reloaded the android 2.3.5 use odin then I try to turned On and it didn't work I try to put it in download mode and it didn't work it doesn't even turns on.
3) I try to fixed using Ultimate Unbrickable and it said: "Gtk-WARNING Unable to locate theme engine module path. I REALLY REALLY NEED HELP I REALLY DO.. PLEASE HELP.
Thank you! You've saved my life :D For me there was no need to disassemble the phone and perform the UnBrickable Mod, the tool worked anyway. I just had to be very fast in clicking the buttons when i plugged in the USB cable, but it worked. Thanks a lot! :)
@jurassic512 I just followed the instructions from forum thread 1242466 on the xda-developers site without step 1. The only problem was, that i had to be very fast in pressing the buttons, because the mobile always disconnected after some seconds. I had to try multiple times but finally it worked :)
@bufli I was able to skip the soldering by using a "professional micro-usb jig" from ebay for $3 bucks. Phone was tricked into download mode. I have a samsung continuum (galaxy phone).
Have galaxy tab gsm 7inch p1000 possibly bricked as it showing no charging when it's on charge and no reaction on power button...
Any advise whagt I can do with it as it belongs to my little sister.
I tried to upgrade via Kies when it was downloading something and PC fall in a sleep mode. On resume it had lots of tables while TAB had mobile+triangle+PC symbols.
Left it like that for couple hours and now it completely non reactive....
@exil3dlivecom Actually, that's the second most common problem... Not that the USB cable that comes with the device is bad, they wear out. They're actually good quality out-of-box. The number one problem, which I address in Heimdall One-Click is that the user does not know what they are flashing with Odin One-Click. Heimdall One-Click is fully inspectible and it displays that "This package is intended for 'phone model here'". User error is the most common cause of bricking.
@MaaveMaave Yeah?? I think anyone attempting to do this mod MUST understand using a soldering iron on their Samsung would mean they'll invalidate their warranty (should anything goes drastically wrong) ... So if anything, IF i was Samsung, I would encourage more hardware hackers users to try this mod. Just think of the money Samsung could charge to repair your now DEAD phone!!
@outleradam I want to be able to take advantage of my phones hardware. I have a galaxy apollo. Its cpu and gpu are more powerful then they seem. The cpu is rated for a max of 1.5 ghz and opengl is being ported and working well on the gpu. but we need more hacking done, its a inexspensive phone
@iToasterman that is a max it couldn't run like that for more that a few seconds with out the cpu over-stressing and volting out my htc desire hd can go to 2.002 ghz but it can only stay there for a few minutes before i have to pull the battery, it may be rated for 1.5 as for it's max but samsung never intended it to go above the stock clock
@MrCordell507 You have no idea what your doing then. Samsung intended for it to go that high. They advertise a phone at 1.5 / 2 ghz. It dosent run there 24/7, its called scaling clock. thats what its rated to goto. and run at when needed. not 24/7
@iToasterman they did not intend for it to go that high if they did then why would it not run like that out of the box it can only go to 1.5 ghz with a non-stock kernel, not stock and they do not advertise it at 1.5 ghz and a scaling *governor* wouldn't exist except on a non-stock kernel
@MrCordell507 They did intend for it to go that high. They can use the same cpu in multiple phones but lock the freq and take some features out instead of making a whole new one. Its cheaper that way. They locked it using the kernel. They didnt want us to use the 1.5 ghz. And your wrong on scaling *govnor*? Scaling exists in stock kernels. You need to learn how it works. The reason cell phones dont run very hot at 1.5 ghz like a computer would, is most of the time they are only 600mhz.
@MrCordell507 So before you try and correct me saying it wasent made for 1.5 and how phones are always at 1.5 Do your reasearch and use comon sense. If all phones ran at 1.5 ghz, they would fry alive. Scaling is the way it works. Same with some laptops using intel / amd cpu's, they scale when the power isnt needed, look at the intel atom

Will this work for Samsung S8500 Wave?
adi4u48821 4 months ago
This is not easy. 1,) need to disassemble the device. 2.) Modify devices inner "bits". 3.) Have Linux (wont install for me) 4.) Never got it to work.

Gtfo. Buy a good usb wire and junk the one that comes inside the box. POS. Youll never brick.
