  • That scene with Aunt May asking who has the food reminds me of that "King's Picnic" sketch!

You bring the potato salad, sure thing king

  • And After Aunt May tells rules:

Muppets: Ernie and Bert Follow the Arrows

Film: Camera zooms in on growing flowers

    Cartoon: Willie Wimple: Land Population

Song: There's a Bird on Me

Muppets: Anything Muppet girl reads word "Hug" with Herry

    Cartoon: Pinball Number Count #4

  • I just have one brief question about episode 1708, I once saw a scene from that episode where Big Bird was actually swimming in a lake, how did they do that? was it a Blue screen effect? Did they actually put the whole suite in the water? or did they just film it with the upper half of the suite?

  • Then, after the hiking scene:

Muppets: Grover counts with his echo

    Cartoon: Four carpenters

Celebrity: Bill Cosby counts four kids

Muppets: The Boy Who Cried Monster

    Cartoon: Sand J/j

Muppet & Kid Moments: Bert and John-John- Lost Paperclips

  • Here are the inserts after the first scene:

Bert plays "Follow the Arrows (how appropriate, considering what just happened)

Film of flowers growing on a tree

    Willie Wimple chops down trees

    "There's a Bird on Me"

Herry and an AM girl read the word Hug

    Pinball #4

  • # 1711 ( november 29, 1982 (last camp days

big bird at he coming home . 1of 3).

  • @schemer1991

Are you sure that's not #1710 you're thinking of there? I see the pic there of BB back on Sesame Street with Snuffy and it says #1710 on it. I may want to check Muppet Wiki on that.

  • 2:55:"Oh, yeah, I heard you that time."

  • That's okay about episode #1708 (November 24, 1982), MarshalGrover. Like they say, you can't win them all.

  • That's right. We don't always get what we want.

  • Originally broadcasted on November 25, 1982, this episode appears to be rebroadcasted about 20 years later, on Friday, August 23, 2002, at about 4 minutes before 01:00AM on Noggin, as part of "Sesame Street Unpaved" (1999-2003).

  • Not only that, but apparently this Camp Echo Rock saga was repeated sometime two years later, as part of the sixteenth season, only with different inserts.
