The many death references ran the risk of losing the show's general audience rating for children. Because of that, they changed the intro, and removed all references of the Neitherworld being the afterlife.

The reason being that they want to do more 3D (storm hawks) and more Flash (Johnny Test) They don't want to do this type of traditional animation anymore. Which sucks for me because I love this type of animation. Today's characters stand still too much. Just look at the new speed racer series that's coming out in may. Terrible animation and the lighting sucks. Even the 3D transformer series was really bad. Very limmited animation.
