Also, for the people complaining about the director, it's not "the guy who did Mortal Kombat". That was Paul Anderson, the director of Resident Evil and AVP.

James Wong is directing this. He hasn't done many movies, but he directed Final Destination 1 and 3, and The One with Jet Li. And one last thing I will address. People complaining that Goku is too whiny should go back and watch the anime. Goku wasn't exactly a big tough guy in Dragonball. He was a kid.

Immature arguments aside, I am going to give this movie a chance. There were so many little flamers attacking the Transformers movie for no reason just like the people talking shit about this movie.

And for all the people complaining about the story, it's essentially the same. Goku defeats King Piccolo. That's all that matters. You really don't want to see the exact same story you already know do you? That's like seeing a movie that is reenacting something I could watch on TV for free.

Let me clear some things up that people aren't getting. 1)This isn't the real trailer, this is just a promotional video made 5-6 months ago (without compleated footage or secial effects) to attract distributors, it was never meant to be realsed, it not suppose look so good. 2)Krillin isn't in the film for three reasons, a. This is suppose to be a trilogy, so you can't have everyone in the first film, the characterization would fail, that's what Mortal Kombat 2 did and it sucked.

Goku's original search for the Dragonballs is a part of the film, Krillin hadn't been introduced at the time so haveing him in the film would make no sence. 3) Piccolo is white b/c he's been in "prison" for 2000 years with no sunlight when he wishes for eternal youth he will be green. 4) Pretty much the only part of the story that has been changed is the high school thing everything eles are stuff that actually happened

According to an interview with the guy playing piccolo, he will be green, he's white in the trailer because they are from earlier in the movie, just after he's freed from imprisonment and hasn't seen the sun in centuries. I think it looks like a good action flick. What else can you expect? The manga was stretched out to several seasons of a cartoon, the movie has one shot to get people interested. Good enough I say.
