  • This is bad ! The purpose should always to do such things using simple things , so that poor people who don't have & can't buy those kinds of mixers can do it ! This video is for rich people ! Thanks anyway . . .

  • better make your own video, where you can introduce yourself and your book!!

  • You'll find exceptions if you look for them but I challenge you to find any genuine French chef who'll put sugar in his baguette.

  • She lost me at the sugar. No self respecting French chef would ever add sugar to his bread dough! Or any other food except for dessert.

  • @FantasticBob7000 Disagree bob. Just take a look at brioche. this is commonly eaten with Foie Gras as well as sipping a glass of Montbazillac (a sweet white wine).

After all this was Pain au lait anyway.

  • @tofty21 The reason she added sugar is to make the yeast rise, not for flavor as in your other examples. It's totally unnecessary. You need to just give the dough enough time to rise, you don't need to rush it by adding sugar.

I've never argued about food before but damn this is important!!

  • @FantasticBob7000 Sugar also caramelises and gives a crunchier crust. But yeah, yeast like sugar :3

  • @SirNoddy1 Yeah... tofty probably knows more about French cooking than I do, this video probably knows what it's talking about but I still think we're more sugar happy in our food than the French.

  • @tofty21 Oops... looks like you were right, it was pain au lait.

    Sorry, never mind....

  • What a waste!
