I see what you're talking about. Yeah the PD 170 looks better in your video. But You could adjust the AG-DVX100B Temperature and other things to be an even better shot. Tha'ts the problem with AG-DVX100 owners you need to use all the features.
It's interesting how when you turned off all the indoor lights, only one of the cameras captured the true lighting. The others compensated and that true look was lost... I want a cam that captures true lighting, as it is. She was sitting there in a blue-ish light.... I am thinking that was the true light.....
@nebraskafrankcourtny . Yes, I agree with you about the natural light footage. It is my favorite way to shoot my documentaries and ethnographies - with the PD170 (indoors) just with natural light and no artificial lights in the house. Somethings about the camera illuminates the face in a way that looks more beautiful than it does to the natural eye. Still so bummed they discontinued this camera.
i agree that the PD170 has a better image quality,,,but for most, there are other features that make the other cameras as/more attractive. I started out w/ a AG-Ez30 and when I was looking to upgrade, i wanted a true all-in one camera/camcorder, for still shots, but I was also needing some that fit in my jeans pocket, w/o sacfricing too much image quality,,,for this theres truely none better than the PC-1000. Great stills and above average video,,,for 3cmos/ccds.
I think the moment you are talking about is when a person with a white shirt walked by the subject--this did cause temporary illumination. It was a very overcast day and all the footage was shot in within a 15 minute time span, so the natural lighting was quite consistent.

Yeah, I'd have to agree with sweets. The PD 170 is by far the better footage.

Good idea
but
it's hard to decide due the difference in time
I mean... differents moments iluminated with natural light give you different final images.
