  • this is the funniest video i have ever seen in my life

  • Epic tutorial! Thank you. ;)

  • better is butter of all without fat m8

  • Is it best to put the oil in before you put it on the stove?

  • I always did popcorns but with just a little string of oil. You put too much oil!!

Just imagine to eat those popcorns with all oil... man, that's the worst thing you do with your health.

  • ok um before all that your supposed to let the oil heat up then put the corn.

  • i really liked this video but i think in my opinion your a bit cocky

  • @ThePinkrose33 , I had been playing Max Payne right before I made this video. Shooting gangsters has that effect on me.

  • @ken131 lol

  • thank you for this. the damn boyscouts sold me a huge bag of popcorn kernels and i had no idea what to do with it. and yes, i said "damn boyscouts"

  • no chemicals!!

  • @pilas3000 What. Where did that even come from?

  • this is bullshit. you want good popcorn go buy a hot oil kettle machiene. im spending $150 on one because my 2.5oz is too small and i dont lie bland shitty popcorn that dosent even taste good. i did this already and it sucks that is what drove me to hot oil popers

  • but those popcorn in da bag dat u poped isn't any different from da popcorn u pop i da microwave, real clean popcorn is da one fresh from da field and then popen dUhhhhhhhhhh

  • @lovenchan167 Ever ripped open a microwave popcorn bag? It's nasty inside!

  • An air popper is better because you aren't adding all that oil. That means you can add more butter and have less calories. That's right more butter with less calories. Oil is all calories butter has a lot of water in it.

  • @sanity599 Some years ago I got an air popper from my late grandmother's home, but it was broken when I got it. :( I would've wanted to try it out.

  • @ken131 You can also roast coffee beans in the air popper. I haven't tried this, mainly because I seldom drink coffee, but I will some day. I suspect roasting your own beans before you brew the coffee will make it taste a lot better.

  • @sanity599 air pop ur ass!

  • @Jairzinho121 Why you into buttered ass? I took a look at your page. All the things you post on have to do with aberrant sexual behavior or drugs. Well I guess that says it all about you.

  • @sanity599 I stand by my original point.

  • @Jairzinho121 The only point you have is behind you when you look up.

  • I remember my dad popping it this way when I was a kid on Sunday nights before the ABC Disney movie. This brought back some great memories! Thanks!

  • u dnt even describe what 2 do! properly

  • @smileygurl5691 I said it was a "quick tutorial"

  • i wanted to make it but there was no corn in the shop

  • would the popcorn stick to the bottom since it is a non-stick pot? do i pour the hot syrup over freshly popcorn ? wouldn't it strink or soften the popcorn ? or it would get crunchy and crishpy once it is cool ? thks.

  • i dunno why whenever i try to make them the pot bottom gets all black, and not even half of them pop, and the rest of them, even the popped ones burn @_@ what am i doing wrong? im doing it exactly as you did. I'm so frustrated!

  • its fun to open the popcorn bag and microwave the kernals and watch them explode

  • I was making my first popcorn today and I was doing it like 20 minutes! I don't know what I did wrong. Some grains exploded and turned into popcorn, but lots of them just burnt don'tknow why, maybe because of the pot?

  • @mrP694 When the popping stops, it's time to take it off ASAP. Also, sometimes the kernels are bad and just don't pop right. I have no explanation for this.

  • Tried making it on the stove top sometime back and most of it was burnt

So i just make it in the microwave

Is there a certain amount of time i should keep it on the heat for when I'm making it on the stove ?

  • @DoreenC50 If you don't hear it popping, you need to be stopping. Some kernels are just bad and don't pop right, too.

  • Thumbs up if you're eating popcorn right now

  • I DNT HAVE ANY POTS!! WHAT ELSE CAN I USE??

  • @RoyalCaesarMusic In that case you will have to use Jiffy Pop. Or the bagged stuff.

  • @RoyalCaesarMusic u can use a normal pan like a non-stick pan or even a chinese wok.

  • din dan din din din dan dan dan dan din

  • Thank you

  • You don't need oil! you need heat, That's it!! God DAMN!

  • THANK YOU!

  • @rsmagedark39 - I'm trying to take a video with one hand and pour with the other. Geez.

I just wanted to prove that using a stove top can be just as fast and easy as using the bagged kind.

  • You put wayyyyyyy too much oil in the beginning. You are also supposed to let the oil heat up for about 3-5 minutes before you put the popcorn in the pan. The kernels are supposed to cover the whole bottom of the pan... And the BIGGEST mistake you did was covering up the popcorn with the lid FULLY while it was popping. Your supposed to leave it a little cracked so the steam can escape or else you get soggy popcorn... This guide is terrible.

  • @rsmagedark39 Where is your vid?

  • Comment removed

  • SHould totally shake the pot when cooking.

  • @Addictedgamer1 - I've only got 2 hands

  • I...LOVE...POCORN...

  • @TheMrStephenator whats POCORN? i'd love to try it one day

  • I was affraid of burning my popcorn so i came here ! Can't watch Scream movies without it XD

  • This looks great, will try this tomorrow. I don't even like popcorn but we're having a movie premiere at my place and you can't do cinema without popcorn.

  • you enjoyed that popcorn didn't you now i'm hungry

  • Why use oil when theres butter right in the refrigerator lol

  • @iamownagenoob when it comes to cooking (this is hardly cooking, but still), using oil is pretty much always better than butter

  • thumbs up if you where leanning on your left arm waiting for something to happen lol

  • D: i hate poping popcorn like that it scares the shyt outa mi, last time i did that when i took it out and dumped it in my bowl, it was still poping and one poped in my mouth!! D::

  • You are doing it wrong lol.... you need to wait for the oil to get hot!! then add the kernels.. add a few to see when one pops then add the rest.. plus thats too many kernels at once... and you're missing all the secret ingredients.

  • @xxAlexito714xx What are the secret ingredients?????? :O :O :O :O

  • Thanks,this was helpful!!!! :)

  • nice tripod - FAIL on my part :P

  • nice dock :P

  • Not enough shaking during the cook, too many kernels at the beginning, although you can compensate for that by using a BIG pot, like a 15 quart. You saw and heard the burnt kernels as he dumped it. The lid prevented adequate ventilation (tip it to the side, once the kernels start popping kill the heat), but otherwise, he can cook popcorn kernels sufficiently. I'd gnaw burnt stuff compared to having to inhale the stench of microwave any day. I give it 3 out of 4 thumbs up.

  • I like how the popcorn tastes with just oil and salt!

  • And that's how you gain 50 pounds in 2 months.

  • @sarkhaniscool - actually I weigh the same now that I did then!

But I also didn't lose any...

  • thanks ... finally i did it

  • @ShockwaveClassics - I've looked into it, and most retail bagged and bottled popping corns seems to weigh around 30 or 32 ounces.

  • that's great stuff... thank you for this movie :)

  • microwave popcorn, WINNING

  • I use med-high to high heat. Try using a bit of a wider pot and for god sakes take an active role in the popping process! Move the pot around so the unpopped kernels can fall back down and have a better chance to pop. It also reduces your chance of burning already popped corn. You will yield much better results.

  • HWAO!

  • home made popcorn sucks ass just buy a bag of jimmy's popcorn

  • cool pants

  • What kind of oil?

  • @slowride55 Canola oil. I usually used vegetable oil generally.

  • @slowride55 Coconut oil is my favorite.

  • @TheDurnans coconut oil tastes sooo good with popcorn! When you use virgin coconut oil to pop it tastes like butter for some reason. Also red palm oil tastes just like movie theater, and looks like it too!

  • how the fuck did this get 60000 views? i am going to make a video about how to put on your clothes, and get 100000.

  • @LibSoc68 - I don't know either. It's probably because it is 3 years old.

  • too much oil!! :S

  • when i did this the oil in the pot burst into flames :S

  • Here is a little secret. Movie theaters use coconut popping oil, and flavocol popcorn salt.

  • Can I use the seeds inside the microwave popcorn bag?

  • @139coolbeans - I've ripped one open before and inside there are some kernels and some kind of salty, thick, orange paste that makes the butter (eww). I imagine that putting that in a pot will just burn it and it'll smell bad. You could wash the corn and use it, but by that time, you've lost a lot of money. Better to buy the kernels by the bag, or if you've already got bagged popcorn, microwave it until it's finally gone. Then don't buy more.

  • what are your thoughts on differnt popcon poppers?

  • @crammage - considering expenses, nothing's cheaper than a pot, oil, and corn. However, methods that use less fat would be ideal.

  • @ken131 i have a movie theater style do you know to get it just right?

  • @crammage - I don't know, but if the machine came with a manual, read what it says. If it seems harder than what I did in this video, sell it and use a pot instead.

  • r u a boi or girl?

  • @KnAwayz - woman

  • hmm brings back memories when was a kid my grandma use to do this and when it comes hot, i just loved the explosion noise!

  • Thanks bro you saved our movie night

  • The "right way", huh? Where are your measurements for the oil and popcorn? You could be a little better with your instructions.

  • @Topaz5866 - that's the point: making stove top popcorn is so easy you don't need to measure anything. You just do it. I did use too much oil in this video, but it didn't affect the popcorn, and you can just try again.

  • bum ya mum, i want to know how to popcorn not f***ng this microwavable shit

  • They looked kinda crappy when ya took them out didn't they?

  • popcorn in the microwave FTW

  • lay off the popcorn fatty!

  • @Harrypotterfan334 - As far as crappy unhealthy snacks go, popcorn is one of the least crappy and unhealthy

  • @ken131 yeah but its still bad if you put all the oil on it so lay off the junk and eat some vegies other wise youl get a fucking heart attack

  • @Harrypotterfan334 - The excess oil was a mistake. I'm taking video with one hand and pour with the other. Fuck.

  • @Harrypotterfan334 Lax dude i dont think he eats popcorn all day long... Bisides you wanted to watch the vid right? Do it you'r way and stop commentating.

  • @Harrypotterfan334 You clearly have issues and numerous insecurities if you get a thrill out of harassing someone about their popcorn making video. Where are all your spectacular videos?

  • omg i can find anything on youtube !!

  • it aint crap im eating microwave stuff just now its awsum :D

  • Thanks for this...

  • I'm going to movies tomorrow to see the new Harry Potter and thanks to you I'm definitely NOT buying my popcorn from the movie theatre.

  • nice

  • thanks dude..that was useful :P

  • oooooh it nice to see little corn growing up so fast....

  • what a dork

  • mmm yummy

  • Dr Oz said microwave popcorn is bad for you . so now I will do it this way

  • i like making popcorn this way. i like putting a tinfoil on top. looks funny

  • it may work but i still think you put way to much oil

  • "JIFFY POP!!!" =)

  • Alot of haters

  • thats the same you do it you retard i think your in kindergarden since you cant tell a circle from a pentagon wait let me tell you that in small words little ball and and shape with a lot of lines i wish i can make the big words smaller or tell your mommy to read it for you

  • @REALCLAUDIAx walmart because popcorn taste better with butter u know those sticks of butter u but about 1/3 of it in

  • @patchesSD Thanks! :D this surely helped!

  • idunno why people R hatin'. This lady like popcorn, along with the rest of america. whats the big deal?

  • ur a woman? :o not to be mean but u sound like an 18 year old guy

  • 1:13...."wait until your OVEN is on? WTF does the oven have to do with cooking popcorn on the STOVE?

Question #2: what is "BLOWED up", Cletus?

Queston #3: you sound gay. Are you?

  • your going to pick that popcorn up right?

  • thank you very much (^_^)

  • popcorn crackhead , but im one to :P

  • With microwave popcorn, there is less cleanup required.

With microwave popcorn, the microwave automatically shuts off after a given period of time, eliminating overcooking by lack of attention.

You have to wait a few minutes for your stove to heat up to make it this way; Microwaves are heated within milliseconds.

Microwave popcorn is already packaged with the right proportions for cooking, while the other requires estimations for oil, salt, etc.

Isn't it just too fun to watch that bag expand? :)

  • @awsomenesscaleb you missed something. Microwave popcorn taste like crap. I prefer THESE popcorn!

  • i bet that would be really good if you used bacon fat instead of oil

  • so can u but butter in

  • the oil deserves popcorn? the popcorn deserves oil?

  • tard! @1:11 that's a hob not an oven! + you sound like a dude!

  • tard! that's a hob not an oven! 1:11

  • @philsalter I know. I wasn't going to redo the video to fix it because YouTube viewers just aren't worth it.

  • Butter is way better than Oil. Try to put in butter next time. It tastes ... like butter popcorn.

  • u know ur using a stove not the oven :P

  • Just followed this video and made a perfect batch. Not a single burnt kernel. I guess the trick is to do it hot and fast.

  • worst tutorial ever. how much oil? how much unpopped corn do you put in? How hot does the stove need to be?

  • @SoIceytraphouse I'm a woman. But I am indeed all about my popcorn.

  • @ken131 at 3:15 in the reflexion it looks like you are obese

  • @1932keefe You are correct sir

  • @1932keefe who cares

  • @1932keefe Your an idiot

  • @ken131

lol wtf you're a woman?? Your voice sounds differently.

  • @ken131 MAMA I JUST WET MAH PANTSS

    AAAAH

  • when i make popcorn i like to use the mircowave brand instead of the kernals for the stove top method. It tends to burn more but i like that. Its just a personal perfernce for all you gringos out there.

  • Thanks man this was helpfull

  • But then you have MORE burnt popcorn. I personally think the "crap" popcorn is better.

  • No way. Bagged popcorn burns far more often. The pot-made popcorn is much easier to control.

  • Not if you don't do it right. The pot-made scorches even if you have good experience. imo

  • hah really....NOOBS

  • use peanut oil or coconut oil.

    everyone uses vegy oil.

    don't forget popcorn salt.

  • can u make popcorn with normal Mais Corn??

  • awseome true this is good popcorn i do not want crap popcorn

  • nice blue pants =p

  • basically like jiffy pop without the bag

  • they make oil for popcorn and you forgot the salt..

  • @Corey497 - I usually put the salt on later.

  • hey i have to move the pot

  • dude you guys for real? ive find out of this when ive was like 3 yrs old LOL

  • yeah.... i made popcorn like this all my life. apparently this is all ''new'' in america
