this idiots video is titled how cigars are made, at the end of the video he says "thats what goes into rolling a cigar", HE NEVER SHOES HOW TO MAKE/ROLL ONE!!! fuck, i want a real video
1. Just because a cigar is wrapped in cellophane, doesn't make it machine made. I'd say even the majority of hand rolled are wrapped in cello.
2. You can leave the cello on, it isn't air tight, moisture can soak through the cello just fine.
3. If you don't want to buy a humi, just use a cooler! It's called a Cooler-dore. Get a coleman type of thing, buy humidity beads from Heartfelt Industries online, and there you go. It's air-tight and cheap.
@bumba220 I just recently made a "cooler-dore" and it's working great so far (it's keeping a steady 65%-70%). I saw on another vid that it's better to keep the cellophane on if you're mixing light/dark cigars, which is what I'm storing. Is that true or is mixing light/dark w/out the cello non-detrimental to the flavors?
@flipdog69xxx I pretty much always leave the cello on, as do most cigar enthusiasts. If they're wrapped in a cedar sleeve, sometimes I'll take them out of the sleeve because mold can develop under that sleeve over time (like with Feunte Anejos). I've never heard of separating light and dark cigars, I really don't think storing them together will affect the flavor. I would, however, separate infused cigars (flavored, like Acids) in a totally separate container from normal ones.. for sure!
ive smoked a small chocolat flavored cigar but that was shared with a freind, so what would a good beguinner cigar be i wouldnt smoke like all the time one a day and the next then leave it a few days or something plz help thanks .
My favorite is the Montecristo #2 and the small ones from El Rey Del Mundo. Great choices in my opinion, especially the Montecristo. Cohiba Especial is good too but more expensive.
My girlfriend bought me a box of 50 small cigars. I don't smoke very often, maybe once every couple of days. But Im not a big cigar person so I don't need a humidor. How can I store them so that they wont get ruined ? They are all individually wrapped in plastic and in one of those cardboard cigar boxes. How long can they go before they are ruined ? And how can I store them so they will last a long time ? Thanks.
if your room has air conditioned (keep around 70)and you can control the humidity winter with humidifier and summer de humidifier you should be relatively ok...
I have a wine fridge and keep them in their and no issues.....
If there individually wrapped, it probably indicates machine made, if you push in on the wrap, is it soft and springy? this will indicate if they have dried out. My suggestion is to find a large, sealable bag to fit your box into, then put in in a place out of direct sunlight, and wont get too hot or too cold. I would find a very small damp sponge as well, and put it in the bag, but making sure the it don't soak through the box. Seal and re-open when you need too. Hope this helps
he says the word cigar like a gangsta lol depends what part of america he comes from . And there is no point in me buying a humidor cos i smoke all my cigars before i even get a chance to store them
i recently got one of thoes and i have a question should i take my cigars out of the wrapper to put them in the humidor of just leave them in the plastic celifane
@ThEaNtMuRdErEr no it wont. thats why the cellophane has one open end. to let in humidity. the wrapper is only to protect the wrapper leaf from being damaged and marrying with other tobacco.
It's entirely up to you, cellophane will prevent damage to some extent and the cigars WILL be humidified thru the cellophane wrappers, they are NOT air tight. Leaving the cellophane on will also help prevent your cigars from picking up aromas from different types of tobacco stored in the same humidor
ok, so if I have 1 very expensive cuban cigar, and don't have a Right now I have it in its plastic tube elivated about an inch over a soaked wet paper towel in a tuperware container.
towel is fragrance free, also has distilled water, any tap from the sink has harsh chemicals and you can say bye bye to your cuban, also put it across from the cigar, not right over it, this insures its not getting to much! hope it helps!
Blunts.

humidor

I said "I dont need a humidor" because I don't need one.
Neutral666 2 years ago
then you won't have 50 fresh cigars
goofy775 2 years ago
surely there must be some way to store them. Not everyone has a humidor sitting in their rooms ?
Neutral666 2 years ago
no long term methods, put it in a cedar box with a sponge.. can work for a short period of time
goofy775 2 years ago
Ive been told the disposable tubberware containers work pretty good. if your not aging your cigars and dont have a ton of them this should work fine.

take it out. because the plastic celifane will prevent the cigar from receiving any kind of moisture and it will dry out after a while.
