first time i ever flew and it was on Aeroflot out of Shannon when i was 10 years of age after the break up of the soviet union, on my way to Florida on a family holiday and i still remember the sound of the engines,thanks for the memory :)
I am not a big fan of Russian planes ... but I have flown on Tu154s and I know what people mean when they praise (and over-praise sometimes :D ) the sound of Russian engines .... it gives you chills, it tells you: "we are about to do something special, sit tight!"
its not so awsome do some research on it my country had a couple of them,2 of them crashed had the same problem, its a matter of time anotherone crashes if they are still being used...Dont wish that but the thing is a scary thing to fly....

how real airplanes are supposed to sound. A 777 might be a great plane, but sounds gay and downright boring compared to this.

Don't know, looks like early 1990's because of the Russian flag on the tail. An awesome machine, IL-62 is a true classic.
