Funnily enough, I thought of this while reading Fate of the Jedi: Abyss. Won't spoil why, but suffice to say that, as a Luke fan, it's great to see THE Jedi Master portrayed like someone with Anakin's potential and the time to MASTER it should be.

This really goes to show that Luke IS the greatest lightsaber duelist in the galaxy. In continuity, which is OFFICIAL, it is implied that Luke is one of the, if not the best, lightsaber combatant of all time, learning 3 forms of combat in one year, and being able to master dual lightsabers the first time he ever tried, he can even beat his own son in a duel without even drawing his lightsaber.

I say, Luke can SURVIVE Vader in EP6. The last duel had him succumb to the dark side in order to BEAT Vader. In the light side, we don't know because Luke would not fight him.

i actually have a theory on light said eand dark side i yoda says one is not stronger then th other and its not they just draw on the force in a different way dark side is easier cus it draws on the force from emotions while light draws from calm and concetration a fully trained jedi using the light is just as strong as he would be fully trained in the use of te dark but if he was fully trained in light and not trained at all in dark he would be weaker using dark cus he is drawing on less force

As far as it seems, one's knowledge of the Force is limited to their sensitivity to it, hence why the Skywalkers are so powerful. Interesting, and yet Anakin was a Jedi and yet was able to sufficiently draw upon the dark side the second he turned. Mace Windu also comes close to using the dark side in his Vaapad saber style which do come into factor but nevertheless your theory is very interesting and could be true.
