  • you ae sooo right it looks soo much healthier than my relaxed hair did

  • we all know that these ladies in the video are of mixed race, thats why their hair is so much easier to manage and straighten, it obvious, if there was a full blooded african person with no mixture in their hair texture the results would not be like what it is here, Ive seen some extremely coarse hair on some ppl that no matter what u do to it it just is too nappy.

  • @boynton20 my hair is like chili from tlc and its extremly difficult blowdrying and flat ironing. its so much work vs my friend who has course hair takes little time.

  • I dont know what area youre from but for those of us who cant get a class with you, maybe you should market a dvd or something. Will your technique work on relaxed hair as well?

  • I don't think you can straighten your hair in a natural way without using heat or harmful chemicals, I prefer not taking risks and use a flat iron, I use a great flat iron that causes less damage to the hair, it's the Karmin G3 Salon Pro and it keeps my hair soft, shiny and super straight. :D

  • @SSDiva100..."Good Hair" is HEATHYY HAIR!

  • That first lady's hair is soo pretty

  • What did you use.....glycerin?

    Oooops.

  • @28Irishhugs No however GLYCERIN is in about almost all products, it helps to keep hair moisturized...oooooooops. But nooooo CHEMICALS, nothing but SHAMPOO and CONDITIONER..and 1 STYLING AIDE!!!

  • @28Irishhugs Even if she did use glycerin its a natural product

  • hey @28Irishhugs stop being a hater

  • Hi. where is this salon located. and is it possible to buy this special conditioner from you for those who live too far away?

  • Y DID U CURL BOTH !!!! IT LOOKED AMAZING WITHOUT THE CURL.......

  • i hope they are not using allot of heat cuz thats just as bad as relaxing the hair. no such thing as heat training if thats what u think. also its not that hard to straighten the hair bone straight. my hair is almost to my waist. its mostly the blow drying technique. if u can get ur hair as straight as you can with the blow dryer it makes it alot easier to straighten trust me i know

  • gr8 job! u shud check my site :) fashionthunderclap.blogspot.com

  • personally i think you should use someone who has very course(nappy) hair

because clearly she has fine hair. i cant relate to this because my hair isnt even near this. im sure if she was to put a relaxer on her hair her hair would fall out smh nice video though

  • so pretty!!!!!!!!

  • can this work on latinaa hair? lol this is amzing. my hair is just as well hard to work with well it doesnt get as striaght lets say. This isn't like a relaxer? cause my hair isn't african american if i use this my hair wont fall out? I HAD BAD EXPIERENCE WITH A RELAXER. but this looks very promising and pleasing.

  • her hair is beautiful and real so why even put rude comments especially if you got to buy $400 weave to get it to look as good as hers? Exactly

  • WOw she got sum good hair and they are too long

Im jealous of this old lady Nooffense

  • I think you should have made this video with someone with shorter hair and there would be less naysayers. When your hair is the length of that clients the curl pattern loosens some. She looks like she was at one point 4a but, she is mid back length! Of course her texture is a bit looser!

But, hey, some people's minds will never change no matter how many times you prove them wrong.

I have 4a hair. My natural hair DOES straighten better than the relaxed did because it's healthier.

  • @Godzfriend1 she's old xD

if i was her age my hair would be that long too lmaooo

  • Wow!!Thats very beattiful hair!

  • i am gonna check up on ms mikko that i gorgeous:))

  • Miss Miko is right, it is possible to straighten black hair of all textures. I have real thick, super-curly hair (my Jamaican mother calls it hog hair). I remember the first time I got a professional to straighten my hair for graduation. It was unbelievable. It was so thick and bouncy. It looked better than relaxed hair!

  • It is not a natural shine if you're adding a thermal protector and god knows what else.

  • I DONT CARE WHAT JEALOUS OR STUPID PEOPLE SAY ON HERE. THIS WOMANS HAIR IS BEAUTIFUL RELAXED OR NOT RELAXED. I THINK THE PERSON THAT MADE THIS VIDEO IS TRYING TO HELP US BY SAYING NO TO RELAXERS....ALLOWING OUR HAIR TO GROW AND BE HEALTHY....AND THERES NO GIMMICK THERE!

  • Ms. Mikko I have a question...Once you straighten natural hair & you still want to continue to wear your natural curls as well as a natural style. Will there be a problem converting your straiten hair back to your natural curls? I find a lot of females having issues with their natural curls coming back in. Could you please elaborate on this please for I want to wear my natural hair strait but I

also love my natural curls. Your advice & information will be extremely helpful....Thank You!

  • Question. I noticed that when you blow dry you don't get the hair super str8t. You get it str8t with the flat iron. Is this so? Does that make a difference? When I go to the domincans they try and get it super str8t with the blow dryer and then also with the flat iron.

  • Looks great but wouldn't work for me. It gets really hot where I live and I sweat so much in my head that on the very hot days my hair gets damp. LOL. My hair would revert the same day if it was very hot.

  • very blessed woman to have hair like this

  • i wish i could get my hair that long. The sides are at my ears and the back is a bit tapered and it never seems to go past the back of my neck. If go natural how long do you think it will take for me to get it past my shoulders?

  • Your hair is so FAB! Love it!

  • EXCELLENT VIDEO MS MIKKOOOO!!! KEEP DOIN YOUR THING BABY!

  • That flat iron is amazing. I'm now flat ironing after braiding and my question is does this flat iron technique hold even when working out. What is your advise on this. I also live in Seattle, WA. Extremely humid. What do you recomend to keep ends from frizzing out. Thanks for the inspiriation

  • With a good heat protectant, effective straightening serum, conditioning creme, blow-drying hair with the perfect heat setting, and straightening with a good ol' fashion hot comb, I believe ALL black women from all hair textures can have the same type of hair you see in the video. It's very possible to obtain but it all starts with the blow drying. That's the key to how it works.

  • what im more concerned about is if it reverts completely back to an afro if at all.

  • im black white and italian i would love love love to go to your shop and let you do my hair. i am in Arkansas. Where is your shop at?

  • If you live in a place that has high humidity, then the proper products need to be used to keep the hair from reverting back. The only way to know what products to use is trial and error. Just don't damage your hair. Grow your hair long and beautiful my sisters or shor and beautiful. That is what I am trying to do. I am no expert. I am like yall, just trying to have healthy beautiful hair no matter the length.

  • I have straightened my hair using a pressing come and a flat iron and did that for many years. My hair would come out very straight, but there is heat damage. I no longer use any heat on my hair, not even a blow dryer. I take it that this conditioner helps to protect the hair from the damage. That is awsome. Their hair looks great. I am shocked at the responses you got saying that you can't straighten tightly coiled hair, such as 4c hair. I agree that all hair can be straightened.

  • that hair looks very beautiful and silky

  • I love how everyone tries to doubt you & say you're wrong, Ms.Mikko. Yet you correct them & they still deny it. Ignorance, smh.

  • if you know any colleagues or anyone in the baton rouge area let me know!

  • This video was so motivating and I can't wait to finish growing my hair out. Thanks girlie...have a bless one.

  • Both women had beautiful hair but the first ones length is what I am going for.

  • My hair is becoming very thin from years of chemical relaxing. I also use a rinse in my hair for coloring. What can Diva Smooth do for me. I like my hair straight, but I want to get my thickness back and get away from relaxers. Can someone help with some helpful advise before I purchase the product?

  • them heads of hair straightened like that because of the finer texture. my hair is fine too and looks like that when i straighten, and i am natural. my daughter who has coarse hair cannot get straight hair like mine just from heat. but i dont relax her, i teach her to love her natural locs. anyways, point blank period to get that straight silky look on kinky coarse hair requires a chemical relaxer unfortunately.

  • I don't see a response to @uhwhatsyournameagain posted 4 mos ago so I will revisit her question. What those who do not live where you are do. In my state there are no license salon who can do my hair. The salons I did contact are trained to do and the schools do not teach it. I actual ended teaches them stuff before I left and they STILL made me bad for the botch job. I should have protested. But what can we do? Pls make a how-to or advice vid. Thanks AJ

  • I havent permed in 3 years and I get these same results at my salon here in Atlanta. My stylist isnt big on products so there is no build up. He uses biosilk serum and holding spray. He blow drys and flat irons with these same results.

  • her hair is GORGEOUS before and after!!!

  • HELLO I would like to try the conditioner do you sell it? I am located in NYC and I am in the process of going natural. I have what is said to be "water and grease type of hair" lol. I want to go back to my natural texture and i still want that relaxed look from time to time. Let me know if I can get your conditioner. Does it contain Keratin?

  • what the hell are the people posting under this video talking about? last time i checked, there were many different types of hair textures, regardless of race. I'm 100% african american, darker than most, and yet I still have 3c/4a hair. Because of that, people always think i'm "mixed". seriously?

stop trying to bring everyone else down just because you don't want to take the time to learn more about your own hair that probably isn't even coarse. stop perpetuating the "good hair" stereotype.

  • @chatmickable about that my story is similar to yours

my mom is half black half indian and has black curly hair

my dad is black and we still have nice hair

i have curly hair ( looks like corbin bleu's )

and my sister has wavy hair

so black people can have good hair

  • Why does every black person has to be "mixed" if they have hair that's not tightly coiled? If you live in America and you are black, you are technically "mixed" because the majority of American blacks have white, Indian, and Asian in their roots. Big freakin' deal! So just because a black person has 3b or 3c hair, guess what? They are still black! It's time for black people to stop with this good hair/bad hair nonsense and learn how to care for your hair whether it is 3a or 4c.

  • Whether or not their mixed doesn't matter. Some mixed people have really coilly hair and some non mixed tend to have straighter hair. It varies from person to person.

However, even for non mixed black hair, if it's longer the coils are straightened out more, due to the weight of the hair. So it would be easier it easier to work with or straighten.

  • My hair is somthing like the first woman hair but shorter.

if i was to try your method would my natural curls revert after shampooing

does you method require extreme heat?... because i dont need extreme heat..im not letting know one bake my hair again haha

  • @mrseazye sorry about the typos..you know what i mean lol

  • Natural hair is not suppose to be shiny. Thats a misconception by so many people as well as cosmetologist since many are not trained on natural hair. The end result is pretty, but the ends doesnt look healthy at all. Many stylist can straighten, but the hair isnt healthy in the end

  • i need ed this video. i want to go back natural. i miss my hair that long

  • wow your hair is beautiful

  • Lol, u said to seek classes MsMIKKO, with the number I take it classes only offered in your city....

  • OMG Lovely *W*

  • damn how doi get my natural hair to that? LOL

  • All I have to say is this doesn't look like a miracle. It looks like you know what you are doing. I'm tired of people thinking "nappy" hair can't grow to amazing lengths and that you have to be mixed to have a curl pattern like these women. Ridiculous. My natural hair has a curl like this. I am fully black. No such thing as good or bad hair either. Healthy hair grows bottom line, just because you don't know how to take care of your hair doesn't mean it can't look this good. Great vid.

  • daaaamn!! this video made almost cry hun hun!! I had such beautiful hair when I was a young girl

  • These women are in no way bi-racial, please get some sense. Black women can have long, strong beautiful hair! Get educated.

  • yeah yeah yeah, try ur skills on 4c/d hair and lets see if u have awesome results...

  • @ronqie Oh but I do on a daily basis...and there is a VIDEO for the naysayers...hehehehehe..HOPE that helps stay tuned and learn the CORRECT WAY!

  • @ronqie I hear you! I am an AFRICAN woman, straight from the motherland! My hair is BEYOND kinky. The only way my hair can get that straight is using a relaxer, PERIOD.

  • @Yembu71 OHHHHH but I have alot of clients from different REGIONS of AFRICA...I actually have a GHANA princess in my NAYSAYER VIDEO ( just flew over)....in ALL REGIONS I find different textures and IT ALL CAN BE STRAIGHTENED whether temporarily or permanently!!! Stay tuned and learn the correct way!!!

  • @Yembu71 Thats totally not true im african and i know lots of other african women who silk press their hairand get great results.!

  • @Yembu71 I am straight 100% African too. I have a natural hair club with some friends, all 100% African with KINKY hair, and 100% fabulous when we straighten... Hair looks like like a weave. Other African women ask us if it's our hair. you NEED to learn the right techniques. I don't even know Ms Mikko, but if you think it's about marketing... ask me or any other person you may trust more... It's not about the money... It's about you looking good without your hair suffering for it.

  • @lisejoan wat techniques

  • @Yembu71 lmfao. u still in the mother land?

  • @Yembu71 My hair comes out better when I freshly wash, deep condition, not blow dry, and just braid over night and let it dry that way.

  • @ronqie @ronqie I hear you! I am an AFRICAN woman, straight from the motherland! My hair is BEYOND kinky. The only way my hair can get that straight is using a relaxer, PERIOD.

  • @ronqie you said it all in that one sentence I was thinking the same thing.

  • @ronqie why do you nappy headed chicks always want someone to prove something to you? Hair is hair. If your hair is a tighter texture a different technique may be necessary to get your hair straight but it will straighten none the less. Your comment made you sound like you have serious self esteem (self hate) issues. Why would you disbelieve a certain texture could not get straight? That seems like you are kinda ignorant. Educate yourself b/c no one is required to prove anything to you.

  • @ronqie

    LOL

  • someone said that have 6f hair... what is that?! The most extensive classification I've seen in the hair community is 4b which is extremely coily/kinky (and I am proud to say that's what my hair is). 6f though? I've NEVER heard of that. Someone tell me where I can see this classification broken down, please

  • how can i get that class love it

  • those women don't look biracial to me and just because there hair is long does not mean they are.

and if you have never gone natural and let your hair grow don't say "well if you have kinky hair you can't do this" you don't know that. if you have never went natural and stuck with it or have done it right don't get sad and/or mad.

    just saying.

  • BEAUTIFUL HAIR!!! BUT MY HAIR COMES OUT LIKE THAT && I DNT HAVE A RELAXER IN MYY HAIR......IDK WHAT MY HAIR TEXTURE IS THOUGH WHEN WET......

  • Awesome! You're so pretty!!

  • These two women are clearly mixed with another race with a less kinky curl than most African American women have. You can tell from the curl pattern when its wet. So ofcourse it will look like that once its striaghtened. Use your technique on some 100% nappy but happy hair, then you'll have a beilever!

  • @mscammyj1 Ohhhhhh I LOVE a challenge...CHECK OUT MY VIDEO "WHO SAID MS MIKKO IS SELLING A DREAM"...hehehehehehhee...HAPPY SILKENING!!!

  • @mscammyj1 I agree 100% clearly those women were mixed not 100% black. show me a black woman with short hair and I am a believer as well.

  • Their not wrong to an extent maybe everyone's hair wont be this long but they are telling the truth. I found this video for my friend who is black who decided to go natural two years ago. She was very frustrated at first it seemed liked her hair wouldn't grow but it was because her damaged hair was falling out. She kept through with it and her hair went from ear length to shoulder length in three years. Black women shouldn't perm their hair and use only clip in weaves for optional hair styles.

  • i hate videos like this with these clearly biracial women selling us false dream

this hair length and texture is NOT realistic, these are very rare hair textures for African women, please stop.

  • @214Eazy I LOVE A CHALLENGE...and I LOVE to see ENVY on all LEVELS; however MS. MIKKO is REAL...NOT INTO SELLING DREAMS...but I DO POINT out REALITY VERY WELL!! THANK YOU!!!!

  • @214Eazy don't knock it till you try it =)

  • @214Eazy you probably should check out kimmaytube her hair is to her back and she's not biracial

  • all i see is both having the same hair type

  • lol its only straightens better if your hair is not that "nappy". As a person with 6f hair, I know that my hair can only go straight with a relaxer. stop trying to sell women with very kinky hair this picture because its not a reality. thank you!

  • @APSTATISTICS I MADE A VIDEO FOR NAYSAYERS LIKE YOU...hehehehehehehe check it out...EXCLUSIVE VIDEO FOR YOU "WHO SAID MS. MIKKO is SELLING A DREAM"....heheheheheh HAPPY SILKENING!!!!

  • @MSMIKKO100

so how do we get this fantastic product? I would like to try it. I watched your videos and I am looking for an all natural product.

  • @APSTATISTICS 6f?? I thought it stopped at 4??

  • @enchantedhalfblood lol thats what I was thinking, guess I have to do my research

  • @enchantedhalfblood lmao i was dying when saw that like damn 6f though ??

  • @APSTATISTICS who put sand in your vagina??

  • @APSTATISTICS what's 6f hair?

  • Hoowwwwww do I get hair to get straight like THAT? I only straighten every three months, so it should look like THIS every time.

  • @bbnne1 What? Last time I check there isnt any platations in California. Next time you reply to me, make sense. Kay thanks

  • i watched your videos and in the one that says relaxer hair can grow was that weave in your hair because it went from long to short???? or did u just cut it that short? n also in some of your videos you have hair thats down to your back but then i noticed in some other videos you have hair to your shoulders? so im just curious whats up with that? are you a stylist taking random pictures of different girls? and if you are trying to grow your hair out, why would you cut it that short

  • this is such a beautiful video, but its so sad that so many of us black women are clueless as to how to really care for our hair, and our hair is just so dazzling. So sad to know that many of our own products are not even the best for out hair type. Awesome video. Brings inspiration..

  • Wow that's awesome!!!!!!!!!!

  • that's just too dope!

  • what can women like myself who live far away do to acheive these results?

  • these women hair textures dont look like they even need a perm!

  • how can i get my hair lik dat with out using any relaxers.... ib beautiful chick.....

  • oohhhmmyggeee love the curlies

  • @bbnne1 what's the info for the online class?

  • OH my goodness!! her hair looks like silk! very pretty =D

  • I want the customized conditioner and special thermal protectant so I can get the shine. I want to learn the ultimate straightening techniques. How can long distance fans learn these?

  • what company and kind your STRAIGHTENS ?

    thanks.

  • @bbnne1 i have yet to see one video on YT that features a pure 4c natural girl who has long shiny hair when straightened...i have yet to visit one professional licensed stylist that can get my nappy natural african 4c hair to look like that...i dont use the term good hair and im not doubting this woman's skill level...im jus saying nappy hair exists and no matter how healthy, not all hair can look like that

  • @badejob IDK what my hair is on that scale but I had an old lady press the MESS outta my hair for years b4 she was too sick to do my hair! & my hair was bone straight, thick & healthy! Ppl thought I had a perm cause I stayed with a press every 2 weeks & my hair looked like this.

  • @badejob Actually I have. I've seen a "nappy" headed girl with really long hair getting her hair pressed. it my not look wavy when long, it was more frizzy and was blown out and i"m sure lost some of her tight coils due to heat. But she had some long A*** hair and it wasn't good hair. It was a natural salon I visited with my mom and she has curly hair and I guess I'm more "nappy" but at least I know our hair can grow. 90% black women I don't think like being black cause we act like it. SAD!!!!

  • @linkin5961 A) all healthy hair is good hair; B) i kno black hair can grown-some of my best friends have long hair; C) the word nappy is used very loosely...im not doubting your "nappiness" im jus saying i kno girls that complain about how "nappy" their hair is but they are 3c -4b....when i say the word nappy im referring to a curl pattern so tight it doesnt look like a curl pattern at all...im talking about hair that looks like a solid black sponge or a black nurf ball; D) i LOVE being african

  • @bbnne1 WHAT??!! what do you mean no ones hair is nappy...i dont mean to sound harsh but do you live under a rock...the definition of nappy when refering to hair is tightly curled, small tight curls, fizzy...that is african american hair...especially the true africans like myself...MY HAIR IS NAPPY! its not a complaint its a statement of fact and she chose the model she chose in the video bc hair hair is able to look like that...not all hair can look like that...period!

  • Would have been more impressed if a coarse hair type was featured instead of looser curls straightened.

  • Wow all this 'Customized Conditioner' and this 'Special Thermal Protectant' and 'Shine' , please share what you used! I would go to your classes, but some of us don't live near there.

  • @bbnne1 yeahh your right people always tell me to stop calling my hair nappy but its hard when i cant do anything to it

  • @bbnne1 I didn't know you only use that comb on flat iron hair. Did she state how to condition your hair?

  • Thanks,

I really appreciate the response. Was the class on line?

  • cool vid!

  • my hair is really nappy and doesnt straighten like that

  • girl i like how you be advertising that CUSTOM conditioner!

  • What is your website?

  • OMG, thats beautiful!

  • MsMikko,

I know this is an older video, but I love the way the ladies hair look and was interest in whatever product you're using. I'm a Philly native that started a hair journey back in Oct 2010, and this looks like something that could really help me. How do I acheive this wonderful look?

  • DCU IN THE HOUSE!!!!!!!! LOL :)

  • SASSY SWAG SILK HAIR WRAPS ARE THE BOMB. WATCH ME. I HAVE SPECIAL PRICES FOR STYLIST BUYING IN BULK. GOD BLESS. NICE VIDEO!

  • Oh Em Jee...that was amazing. I'd love to have that kind of shine. I wonder if she's worked with 4b/4c hair, if so I'd love to see a video (wink, wink).

  • beautiful..i no longer have the patience to go natural..im bi-racial so my hair hella thick n curly. i love this tho... i've been contemplatin the big chop lately.....i just might after seein this.

  • my hair never comes out like that although i wuld love for it to

  • Guys how can I tell my type of hair? Like 2,3,---?

  • Can u please tell me where ur located???

  • OMG! MS.MIKKO YOU ARE HEAVEN SENT!

THAT IS AMAZING! I FEEL SOOOOO MUCH BETTER ABOUT MY NATURAL SELF!! THANK FOR RESTORING THAT IN ME!

  • This video just lets me know how much more beautiful black women are apposed to how most of us feel about ourselves. Our hair can be transformed into many ways and styles more than any other race and reverted back again. beautiful

  • @htbabygurl21 pls get real!!!

  • @htbabygurl21 What hair style can Black women have that White or Asian women can't physically have?

Maybe you're confusing the fact that afro's on women (and men) are ugly, so naturally no Asian/White person would want it, with not actually being able to do it >.>'

  • @Kanoki989 Actually some Koreans and Japanese get "reverse perms" That turn there hair kinky or even nappy in some cases giving them afros or puffy hair. Some wore dreads. I lived in Japan for a while and saw it often. So apparently, not everyone thinks it's ugly...

  • @KittyKimtheBunny I can't say about Korea, but I've actually been to Japan an NOT ONCE did I see a Japanese person with afros >.>' In fact I'm sure if you asked actual Japanese people they would laugh at you... I assume you're talking about Ganguro, which no one does anymore, but even they didn't get afros. So you must be talking about like 5 people in all of Japan, so don't use "some" as if it's common.

  • @Kanoki989 I'm talking about what I've seen.I've seen people w/ the kinky, puffy hair, some with afro textured hair and, some with dread.Definitely more than 5. You've been To Japan while I actually lived there so It's a possibility I've been there longer to experience something different.Different Eyes at different times see different things. And Also,When I was in Japan, they loved my natural hair even touching it and calling me pretty, wanting to take pictures. Not once was I laughed at...

  • @Kanoki989 That's only your opinion though <.< There are plenty of people who like afros, or afro type styles. Me personally, I don't like them either, but I know people who do.

  • BEAUTIFUL

  • @bbnne1 Thanx for the info...need all the help i can get!

  • Ladies, natural hair only straightens better than a relaxer if you don't straighten it frequently. Straightening it frequently could cause heat damage. Heat damage will make it not straighten better. When I say straighten better I mean natural hair will have more shine and bounce than most relaxed hair. Also it will have less breakage. If you're choosing to have you hair straight every day I suggest the using the least strongest perm you can.

  • You're so amazing Ms. Mikko, I wish I lived in an area near you.

  • Wow, I mean, that is crazy straight! That women with the grey has a gorgeous hue of gray. Too bad I dont leave near you :P

  • I love this video! BUT can u please do a video on someone with Kunta napps like mine. I love my hair but it's very course unlike the ladies n ur video. But again, u did a beautiful job. Best video on straightening natural hair i've seen so far!!!!

  • @MegaBlessed10 Hahaha Kunta napps! That's funny. Try to look at your hair in a more positive way, but lol.

  • @gggrinz lol....Oh dont get me wrong i love my hair...i jus mess around sometimes and call them kunta napps cuz i use to break combs but watching all these videos on curly hair has helped me manage it better! :)

  • @MegaBlessed10 I know!! If only I had seen all these videos or knew all the info I know now, before, I would have never relaxed my hair in the first place and be forced to go thru this awkward transition! Good luck with your hair ;)

  • I would love to get my hair that straight, Im natural and im afraid of heat damage:(

  • Ms Mikko, do you know trusted stylist friends in DFW Texas?

  • you are trulyy girfted!!

  • Ms Mikko I love it! Is the custom conditioner part of the key? I have natural 3c/4a hair and some "stylists" don't understand that using the RIGHT condiioner/shampoos/etc make the difference...

  • Yes, natural hair straightens better than relaxed hair! I can attest to this!
