I really fail to understand why people get into such petty arguments. I mean does it really matter who was better? I mean you can agree that MJ had the better voice/vocal range, but that doesn't mean you should completely brush prince aside. Prince has the falsetto thing on lock, but outside of his falsetto, what's impressive about Prince's voice really? And i'm a fan of Prince as well, but Michael imo blows him away vocally. It's not ridiculous. An artist in music is someone who can change the music industry. Michael Jackson was an Icon, and had tons of fans. To me Prince was kind of like a one hit wonder. I'm more of a fan of Mike, but Prince can hit notes Mike can only dream of, Prince is the only guy that can start off in a serious bass and go to a serious falsetto, almost whisper range like...the closest thing I've seen to Prince is Maxwell. Mike would kill Prince in dancing though, plus Prince had more involvement in his song writing than Mike and played more instruments. Mike is still the greatest entertainer ever, but don"t disrespect Prince Rogers!

Trust me, MJ was a MUCH better singer. His voice is the most soothing thing ever. His range was incredible. You need to search on YT some of his in-studio VOCAL WARMUPS. his voice/range is insane. The man could hit high notes WITHOUT even going into falsetto. Falsettos are for babies. Its only used when singers cant reach higher notes and have to resort to head voice/falsetto
