We live in a global economy and future generations will HAVE to know another language to succeed. You conservatives are the ones who will have your feet in your mouth in a decade. TONS of people speak Spanish in this country. Deal with it. It wouldn't hurt if all of us could roll of a few words of espanol.

They don't have to learn all 120, just the ones that are going to be key in understanding businessmen from big countries. Germany, France, Italy, and Spain are all major players starting the next decade.
My whole point is, I live in a country of free choice. I don't have to learn any language I don't want to. I don't need my President telling me I need to teach my kids Spanish. And I do speak Spanish. I was married to a Columbian Girl for 4 years who spoke almost no English. FYI: Neither She, nor her Family, made and effort to learn.
People who can speak the most languages in the future will be the most competitive. It is embarrassing to have people like the Germans and French speak English and we can't really hold a conversation in their language. That's why so much of the U.S is being bought by Europeans, because they understand things outside where they we're born.
