Hello people. Semolina is NOT cream of wheat, it is NOT corn meal either. It is a different kind of wheat which is used for making authentic pasta. You can generally find it at Middle Eastern grocers, Halal shops, OR in the ethnic foods ailes of larger grocery stores. I Hope this helps!
@amoureuse2585 , You can buy Tahini at middle eastern stores. but you do not have to use tahini at all to spread on the baking pan, you can just spread any type of edible grease such as butter, shortening or margarine. thanks for coming buy.
I am sorry, i am not very familiar with Iraqi food. if you have the recipe, maybe i can cook it and try it myself :) thanks for coming by and leaving a comment.
MMMmmmmm, one of my favorites! I love it with coconut (namoura) and arehmanj is right, with jibneh is great! Thanks for the great video again. And that you mix things with your hands-some recipes just don't come out right if you don't.
I was intending to know the ing of that sweet, but when i heard that song i forgot about the sweet and the ing and start singing that sweet song and felt myself tasting something sweeter from the land of lebanon!
Hello my friend!! I hope all is well with you cookingtheeasyway....Thanx agan for posting another fabulous recipe!! I have a few questions regarding this recipe please. what's the temperature of the oven you have to cook this at and for how long? I Saw that you took it out (placed the sliced almonds on top) then u put it back to broil until the almonds were nice and brown. Before you first took it out, how long was in the oven for and at what temperature? Thanx in advance! Keep up the gr8 work!!
catlovergal, trhe instructions you are asking for are: bake on 350 degrees F for about 15 minutes. take out of the oven, garnish with almonds, return to the oven and continue baking for another ten minutes of so, or until the edges of your basbooseh cake becomes brownish. good luck
basboosa is another 1 of my favs....but whts even better is the one with 'jubnah', aka cheese, the neighbours' MRs. used to send it over n i just cudnt share it!!!!
Thank you sooo much! I've been searching everywhere for this recipe. I've tried soo many of your recipes & ALL turned out amazing..I'm so happy I found your website..lots of love
