I would love to visit Belgium someday, especially this monastery since it's the only place you can get the Westvleteren beers. It seems like you visit there a lot, eh? Have you ever been able to talk to the monks?

What's interesting is that the 12 is not in Michael Jackson's "Great Beer Guide" book (but the blonde is).

Hey Chad, I have mailcontact with one of the monks who is reponsible for the sales of the beer. He is a very nice man but he keeps contact on a distance. I would like to visit him and the other monks once. When the guesthouse they are building now is ready i will go there for a visit.

Cafe in de vrede is not a brewpub. The sell the Westvleteren beer and the food is simple but good. Jim who you can see on the video was at a BA meeting a few weeks ago and got a lot reactions.
