One thing I have noticed is how approachable most of the 'big guns' really are. If someone wanted to call and ask a question of any of the "white collar" executive types, I don't think you would be able to get a hold of them, but anytime I have tried to contact any of what I feel are the country's top photographers, I have been pleased in the familiarity and general camaraderie in this industry. I am more proud to be a photographer thanks to people like Joe, Dave, etc.

I am constantly amazed that Joe has been able to stay "earthbound " and real all these years. I always feel that I'm reading/listening to a friend over a cup (or a wee dram).

Mixed in with the anecdotes and "hard stuff" of his posts are always "ah-ha!" moments.

I've been inspired to get out and DO things I would otherwise just look at in magazines and exhibitions. Thanks, Joe!!
