  • brilliant!

  • how its the name of this genre??'

  • Maybe it's not as complex as a Don Ross or Andy McKee, but it's a great song, emotional, nostalgic, catchy as hell

  • I found your music today and you've inspired me to create a choreography to one of your pieces. I haven't created anything new for a year because I missed true inspiration. Thanks for giving that to me :)

  • this piece of magic raises the question as to why YouTube does not have a loop button.

  • He's a freak of nature, Play on man! This makes me jealous.

  • i swear if you daydream while listening to this song, morrison county appears

  • You can't help but feel happy whilst listening to this

  • @MrDave13193 Agreed! This puts me in a great mood, somehow.

  • like this comment if you find that the comments like the ones below about STD/STI's and whatnot finding their way onto a comment wall belonging to a beautiful song such as this is almost as confusing as the question of "What is the meaning of life?"

  • I could probably listen to this all day and never get tired of it.. It's so calming.

  • en que afinacion esta? estandar? it that standar tune?

  • Love his style and the way that Beneteau just sings.

  • @bobbybellsupreme There is not a correct way to play guitar. The sooner you learn this the sooner you become a better guitar player. Resting your wrist on the guitar is not much different from using your pinky as an anchor... different strokes for different folks.

  • Nothing like hearing craigs songs for the first time.

  • this guy take guitar alittle too seriously, i play cuz i love music and getting chicks, but u can't get chicks with nails like that

  • @cod123and44ever you play because your a shallow prick and clearly have a well bland personality otherwise :)

  • @smutyhouse Are we destined to have met because the exact same though went through my head

  • @cod123and44ever stupid comment. when im golfing 12 hours per day I get enormous brucies on my hands and feets would my girlfriend leve me for that? I would beg the diffrent I would say thats a sign of comitment and chics love that ;)

  • @cod123and44ever You obviously know nothing about women... That or you like sexually transmitted diseases... b/c that's all you're gonna get from the kind of women you're shooting for.

  • What strings does he use ?

  • I don't care if he doesn't use the correct classical wrist technique or shit, this guy is GREAT. Rock on Craig, you're making me fly away =)

  • ooooooo he's not using traditional classical right hand technique. wrist shouldn't be resting on the guitar. shame shame shame. love the song though

  • @bobbybellsupreme he's not playing classical guitar, so why would he have the correct classical wrist technique?

  • @CeforJCG that's a stupid question.

  • @RandumCovers Really? Thank you for that amazing input.

  • @bobbybellsupreme YOUR A FRIGGIN MORON LETS SEE YOU PLAY THIS BETTER wrist on guitar YOU DIPSH!T!

  • Comment removed

  • @bobbybellsupreme I agree that guy's response was a little harsh. But nitpicking about his technique was not a good idea, because when you close your eyes and just feel the music, the need for perfect technique just kinda dissappears.

  • @ShatOnATurtle10 yeah i'll have to agree with you there.

  • @bobbybellsupreme, The wrist/palm on the bridge is an extremely important technique. It is part of how Craig is getting such nice syncopation in this piece. It gives you a very wide dynamic range and control with just slight changes to the palm height on the bridge. My own personal rhythm guitar playing is built around this style. Not everyone began as a classical guitarist!

  • sounds like a country whits is peace full and nice , great full people would like too live there if its the same as the song

  • i hate this song, because theres that one part where it ends UGH

  • How does he play so flawlessly all the time?

  • Mr. D'Andrea, you make this place of Morrison County sound like a fine place to be. Much better than Detroit.

  • @kindbds007 it's so coooold in the D!

  • This is amazing, beautiful sounds and such interesting melody lines. I don't know why anyone would dislike it. Or why they would waster their time to say they dislike it.

I'm off to learn this now i think. I need to buy fake nails first tho.......

  • my beloved pup died earlier today.. this song reminds me of all the happy moments i had with him. thanks Craig.. this song really cheered me up somehow.

  • lol id hate to piss him off and get poked in the eye. if i had fingernails liek that thats what i'd do to people

  • truthfully told... this song changed my life then any other out their.

    thank you Craig

  • hes got some beast elbows.

  • I like his sense for melodies...good composer.

  • I LOVE THIS SONG

  • yummmmmmmmmm

  • Can't wait to see him in Boston on Friday...

  • yeah! bring your friends with you. It's going to be a great time

  • <3 loveeee this

  • Great song. Awesome technique. It looks like it's so easy

  • @johved he makes it look easy

  • neat tune... x lent technique

  • *bows down to the new god

  • the best part is that he can only get better : )

  • anyone have the tuning?

  • @dieselman460 from 1st to 6th: Dsharp, Asharp, F, Dsharp, G, Dsharp

  • this is amazing his best piece i think:D

  • i agree!!! i can play it too :)

  • u got tabs for it??

  • he uses acrylics...

  • dang i didnt even see that other dudes comment haha

  • does anyone else he thinks john butler in this song

  • craig, don, antoine, and andy need to play a song together. it would be the greatest performance ever

  • I ordered 'Crazy is Catching' on the strength of this track...it arrived here in the UK last week and since then I've barely stopped listening to it. Fantastic!

  • sounds a bit like some john butler to me

  • Definitely. Especially the legato runs... very Ocean-esque

  • Fanfuckingtastic!!!! the greatest fingerstyle iv'e ever seen. up there with the greats!!!!! keep it up m8!!!!!!

  • that lick at 2:57.....pure genious

  • when ever i hear this song it reminds me of driving down a road through the woods on a fall day...is that weird?

  • yes

  • Not at all weird XD Don Ross' Thin Air gives me the same image

  • acoustics = science of music

  • Nice nails

  • lol there glue on ones =)

  • My best song by a candyrats artist.

  • fantastic

  • his nails are like that o he can play

  • Hahaha... I get that all the time, I have acrylics.

  • haha same mine are like that but real i get shit all the time it does look odd though left hand is cut all the way back and right hand is bout 5/8th " past the skin

  • DAMN, you keep them long, I just recently learned an amazing trick for fake fingernails. Basically grow your natural nails out to what you want them. Then (hold on I have to make a new post)

  • ...Then try to trace the white part of your fingernail (the tips and shit), then draw it on a ping pong ball, and cut the ping pong ball to fit under it by the tracing, and then super glue it under your finger nail, my dads friend who's a fucking awesome 70 year old Luthier taught me that. Haha but yeah, dude check out my new video, I just recently posted it, everything else on my page of guitar is like 3 years old, but its the one from my phone, I'm playing a Larrivee with the ping pong nails

  • never heard of that before will definitely give that a try. recently almost fell off a roof at work and broke all my nails in the process of trying to stay alive, *sigh* should have let myself fall skin on steel strings just sounds terrible

Your ping pong nails sound great hah I'm going to buy some ping pong balls today.

Thanks for the idea mate xD

  • Tell Andy McKee that skin on steel strings sounds terrible :)

  • it sounds rely great on high quality...:)

    im lovin it alrite

  • my life wouldn't be the same now without this guy, Antoine Dufour and Peter Cilluzzi!

  • i believe the tuning is Eb, G, Eb, F, Bb, Eb.

The M2 gives it that Dorian feeling and the gap between G and Eb creates a richer bass line.

  • great song, ending had the perfect touch.

  • Although there is no comparison between you and John Mayer, but you look like him, and I think you play guitar better than him.

  • i think he looks like him too

  • lol he looks nothing like John

  • He does.

  • amazing work great playing lol

  • This is Wonderful!!! Excellent Performance!!!

    Outstanding playing!!! 5 Gold stars!!

    Hollie

  • I just "stumbled" onto this via a John Denver vid. This is amazing! I could sit and listen to this all night (and well into the morning!). And did I see that he's originally from Hadley?? I was just there this weekend....Just beautiful!

  • yeah that seven string is amasing. i'm nto gonna lie, i do like his new stuff a lot - i wasn't too enthused by crazy is catching (album) but i was very impressed by 3 mile bike ride and day man.

  • Is that Don Ross's Beneteau? God what I wouldnt give to play it o.o

  • Im almost positive that Craig owns a few Beneteau guitars.

  • they are his. hes also got a few new ones. including his new seven string he plays in DAY MAN

  • honestly, I like Craig's compositions more than Andys... Not that I don't like Andy, but I just enjoy Craigs more,

  • HOW DARE YOU!!! no one's better than andy!!! lol jk, it's all good. mckee, dufour, ross, and d'andrea are the best. i love candyrat.

  • i absolutely agree with you in the last point, and imho andy's one of the best, really.

but how dare YOU to complain about his opinion?

well, i don't mind, this music is just too awesome=)

    have a nice day, everyone!

  • antoine is the best ;]

  • This guy is absolutely amazing.

  • This song is amazing.

  • all songs are not great untill they just put there heart in it and thats what he did same with andy he puts all his soul and energy to give the song emotion! love it best music out there!

  • He has such great natural ability to do this style, i can't wait to hear him 5-10 years from now

  • THE TUNING FOR THIS PIECE IS AS FOLLOWS, FROM LOW TO HIGH. Eb, G, Eb, F,Bb, Eb. in case anyone was wondering.

  • thank you that helps alot

  • nice. my third string was off, sounds better now

  • cheers been lookin for it gunna have a go at it tho i doubt itl turn out very good :P

  • I see he plays with Alhambra. We have something common :)

  • i like to play this kinds songs, and i want a new guitar, do any you have any recomendations?

  • depends on how much you wanna spend look at an avalon i am there bloody nice!

  • haha it took me 2 days (about 5 hours total) to figure it out, but come on guys you don't need a tutorial to figure it out. If you really wanna know how to play it, just watch and listen and put time into it. The finger work isn't that hard, I just had to get used to finger picking...oh yeah and it's tuned differently!!! good luck

  • yea this song isn't too bad took me about 6 hours. E tuned down to like drop E or F. some other stuff is different too just get used to the picking style. not like it's a don ross piece or anything, most decent guitarists can play this

  • exactly

  • anyone know how to play this? can u post a tutorial if you do id love to learn it, its much easier to learn by watching i find, POWER OF YOUTUBE! :D

  • Craig? I would like to know which size Neckup you and Antoine D. are using. The standard or the mini? thx! xD

  • what guitars he playing?

  • Beneteau Guitar

  • cheers, im looking at putting some money down on a new acoustic next year hand made own, something ill be able to keep for a long time to come. these guitars a bloody nice, probably go with an Avalon tho :D

  • simply outstanding, just cant say anything alse. great feeling Craig

  • Sounds a little like the Don Ross song "The First Ride"

  • haha couldnt put it any better

  • i think me bellend just exploded... because i stood on it. But this video was on in the background. it made the experience better.

  • Hahahah :P

  • sounds like a soundtrack for some mice flipping around and hunting for cheese...and they fail, again and again, the cheese escapes to fast. but: happy end beound the wooden floor in one of the countys Castle kitchens: they get it..and enjoy it. like me enjoying those funny tones.

  • gorgeous...

  • one beautiful song on a guitar is called perfect waves by steffen schackinger....ultimately beautiful song plz check it out

  • So at peace with his music..... When musician ship becomes mastery... that's the line. You play for others but it's selfish. It's only for yourself.... Beautiful

  • So true

  • If I have a chance, I'l like to learn the guitar... It's so attractive. When I saw your face, I can feel how big your passion about the guitar is.

  • nice song!

  • This song makes me happy

  • cool

  • that guitar is a bomb both price and sound wise

  • I'm saving up.

    I'm paying 1039 pounds for it :S

  • he seems quite young aswell. i would say that andy Mckee is the best on that label

  • it's so awsome!!!! I like this

  • wow this is amazing, as soon as I put it on I couldn't look away. My eyes were glued to the screen. Extremely talented.

  • steve vai owns some sort of label that only go for people that 'exel at there chosen instrument'

looks like RPoland beat him to it, or atleast got all the class acts

  • Do work son!

  • Easy with the finger nails their guy

  • Dude check out Antoine Dufour's nails. They're beastly compared to this guy's.

  • this gave me a big smile =)

  • OMG Great!!!

  • Tuning? Tabs? Anyone? This arrangement is awesome

  • D# G D# F A# D#

  • the G is minor

  • cants tune a string to minor

  • its the chords and harmonies that are in minor u dumb shit not the strings

  • i think he means a half step down

  • theen that would mean taht the string is flat...not minor

  • it's similar to Ross's First Ride, but not too much. Andrea's typical elements are obvious.

  • you can be my friend, if you want:]

  • hahahahahahahahahaha

    shuahusauhsuah

    bravo dude sweet!!

  • Its a beneteau guitar he also has a site so look him up to leanr more about him

  • so simple, yet so complicated, yet so beautiful, yet so joyful all at the same time...yeah.

  • Awesome, it turns me on... ^_^

  • That was so calming

  • Agreed, I would like to know the maker of the guitar.

  • It is a Michael Greenfield guitar.

  • thank you

  • what kind of guitar is that?

  • bravo dude sweet!! :>

  • what a nice guy playing this lovely song!! congratz! i really like that

  • sounds nice!!

  • Very similar in style to Don Ross' First Ride.

  • Apart from this one sounds alot better.. do u agree..?

  • No, I think First Ride is much better. Just my opinion but I prefer the melody and it's a bit more difficult to play than this as well.

I was getting at the fact that this seems pretty much "borrowed" from Don Ross with very little variation.

  • Has a nice Irish feel to it, awesome.

  • damn this guys f#*$ing such a different beautiful piece

  • Wow man, that is incredible!

  • this guy's music is awesome. he's in his early 20's i think, and already he's able to do amazing things with a guitar...man O_o

  • sorry, I misspoke. its D#,G,C#,F,A#,d#

  • the tuning is a half step lower than standard, D#,G#,C#,F#,A#,d#
