I think the Icom IC-r3 scanner sounds like a deal. However, not sure how the "terrestrial" television mode will work when all broadcasts stations (minus a few) convert to digital--at least here in the states in Februray 2009. 73 AI4QT

Good that you got the rig back - my RTX module and backlight died at once so I'm sending it (IC-7400 in europe) back to Icom this week to get fixed - again under warranty :)
