all u haters are dumbasses. dickey is my trainer. and hes amazing. hes totally down to earth. and is the best trainer i have ever had. so all u haters, fuck off
I liked the video, but I feel as if this video would have been better done if it wasn't made in reference to the Bulls championships. Why couldn't it have been in reference to the Rockford Lightning (a team which he actually led). Maybe he is down to Earth, but he brings up those championship as if the Bulls wouldn't have won them anyway.
Well sometimes, the son of a parent that was in sports can be better than the parent. This may a bad example, but Barry Bonds, despite steroids was better than his father Bobby.
This is a very positive video which I understand that the director passed away. May he rest in peace. A video dealing with mentoring and being productive in life. Ignorant comments like the one from 230205 is seriously uncalled for. Stop being a hater and coward. It's very disrespectful toward the director (R.I.P.) and Dickey who is being apart of something positive and uplifting. Very ignorant on your part 230205 but I would expect that from a COWARD. Keep being a positive father & role model.
dickey is my trainer and coach. he is one of the most positive role models i got in my life. i went to vegas an got to experince something ppl i grow up with could only dream of. i thank him for that . he is a real mentor. Team NLP.
With arrests, inuendos and tainted images of athletes, this is exactly the type of message Nike (or any other corporate sports company) needs to send...NOW. We need grass roots mentoring programs - teaching respect and fundamentals of the game and each other - to grow responsible citizens and athletes. Great vid, Dickey and signalhillsound. Keep the faith and hope this generates a buzz for you.
I was sad to hear that Nike recently decided NOT to offer any mentoring programs. I hope they see this video and make a commitment to establish a mentoring program. Thank you for this video. It makes a powerful statement to the importance of mentoring a child.
Also, this was totally unscripted. These are Dickey's words, words that popped in his head as he watched my edit. No paper, no writing; it was all freestyle.
I created this, along with Dickey because I saw the incredible relationship he has with his son, and wanted the world to see it. This is Dickey Simpkins, and everything he stands for. This is what we should all be doing with our children.

Great editing and shooting style. Really communicates deeply, but in a simple visual format. Well done.
