  • Do you actually make these as commission

  • its alot better to go to the store and just buy so super cheap shoes and make them its easier and more expensive but less alot less likely to rip and or break or anything like that

  • Hey have you made them yet and what kind of foam do you use

  • SOOOO much easyer to make. THANKU! this idea is brilliant!

  • The reason why they cost so much is due to labor. being a beginner in fursuit building it does cost a lot for all materials. alone, if you build a head for yourself with a sewing lattice frame, itll cost about 100 USD depending on how much fur you need, the types of fur needed and all the little doodads. the prices get inflated due to how many manhours it takes to create them. plus the talent and or skill.

  • WHERES PART 2? O_O

  • @theclawdeenwolf123 thats all. didn't you listen to her?

  • @1Julyet oh .-.

  • i was wondering how much fur and what is the price of the fur of it becuse i whant to try to make those to

  • go to w w w. fabric. com (no spaces) thats where im getting fur for my lion the most expensive ive seen is like a little over $20 a yard but it was fake beaver fur and looked and felt exactly like the real thing, its super high quality so its not too bad. they may be a bit expensive but its worth it. the prices are somewhat the same as joanns but its 10 times better quality at least :)

  • I have a question; what if the color of the foam shows through the fabric?

  • I am using a shoe for a good quality one and it stores easier. It lasts longer and you can use hot glue because a shoe is a little stiff where socks are...

  • this is amazing. im making my very first fursuit this winter, so faux fur should be much less expensive. I go to Hancock Fabrics for all of my fabrics. everything there is super cheap and high quality <3

  • @phoenixwildfire Actually, if you go to Joann's and pick up some flyers, they save you money. Plus once you've bought stuff, you can sign up for coupons in the mail that save you a TON of money.

  • I had an idea for if I do this while I was watching the video. It will make the feet pads more realistic, and slightly more durable. Get some leather and sew it on to the bottom pads. Real wolf/dog/fox paws look and feel like leather, so that would be good. Plus, it, in most cases, would be more durable than fabric or leaving it the way it is.

  • I wouldn't recommend this technique for any outside use, or going to cons.

  • If you go to Jo Annes Fabric and Craft Store you can get fur for around $8. That's where I got mine. ^^

  • I'd recomend like some old shoes u don't wear anymore. Makes better footies xD

  • i already have the fur just need some good socks and foam well and flip flops to make paw pads with but my dollar tree still has them for 1$ a piece so i'm gonna buy 2 pairs do you think that the fake flower foam would work? im pretty sure i can get that there too.

  • really cool you just showed me how to make my foot paws thanx :)

  • im gonna make my fursuit feet like this cus i aready have and socks!!!but i dont know how to fur them!!!!

  • im gonna make feet like this but.......i do not have foam....i think i could get some from my grandma.......but i know she will say no......so mabie i could ask her.....but any ways cool vid!

  • I totally wanna make some so I can have slippers to wear around the house.

  • i made these and now i never want to take them off! theyre so cool!

  • just put the outdoor pad things on the bottom and you can go outside without them ripping :)

  • would they last longer than with real shoes to make it because i need something that will last a while. and would you recomend puttng foam on the bottom?

  • If you're gonna fur it with longer fur, you might want to scotch- gard it. You'd get wicked amounts of crud on 'em otherwise.

  • what EXACTLY is that foam that you bought?

  • what kind of foam is it? the foam i have used is soft and squishy and i want to know if its ok and the foot paws look so cute btw :D

  • high density foam is what its called.. the green stuff.

  • what kinda foam is this?

  • high density foam- NEVER go to Joann's for it. I'd go to a local fabric store, or better yet Hobby Lobby- they have a block of it for only $10 that's good for at least a couple pairs of feet.

  • @phoenixwildfire Cool I like hobby lobby :3

  • @phoenixwildfire i got mine from joannes. it works perfecly o3o it was a bit expensive, but i bought a crap load while they where selling cheap. but there really is no difference o3o

  • @phoenixwildfire shit. joannes is the only place here that sells it... ill just me careful on wasting it

  • at joanns they sell fur for 10 bucks

but you may or may not find the fur that you r lookin for..... trust me.....i've had my dissapointments.......but still try it. =3

  • joann's fur is obscenely expensive- everything there is. I don't even bother going -.-

You can find great deals on fur online- I got two years of high quality fur for $15- you just have to look around :3

  • Do you know any other store than Hobby Lobby to get High Density Foam? Sadly, the nearest Hobby Lobby to me is almost 3 hours away. I'd love a reply!

  • @phoenixwildfire but the problem with buying the fur online is the color doesn't always match what you saw... in person at least you know the color for sure as well as the texture.

  • @phoenixwildfire i was at joann's and their fur was about $11.25 / yard which compared to everything online i found was $20+ >.> only thing is, like you said, joanns is VERY limited

  • @phoenixwildfire

were did u get that? I have been going to joanns, like 8$ for a half FRICKEN YARD

  • Do you have a tutorial on how to fur them? I made paws like that and I don't know how to fur it o3o; XD

  • I'll make that soon :) Really it's just the same as furring anything else- just... you have to be more careful, and use something NON hot-glue gun lol Because you have to do it while it's still on your foot to make it look good.

Also, cut a strip in the back, make it a little larger and put velcro back there. It'll make it look SO much better, and it'll still conform to your leg.

  • Thanks for replying, but I used CanineHybrid's tutorial. :3

  • @phoenixwildfire to use hot glue on it stuff the sock with newspaper til its the same width as yar own foot and leg :) thats what i do :) and the velcro thing is the defo a good plan iv seen so many people not telling that in their turorials lol,

i like your tutorials simple and effective, anytime anyone asks me how i make this or that i tell em to go look at your tutorials lol, hope you dont mind :\

  • @phoenixwildfire

you could make a DTD of your foot, so you can still use hot glue and not have to wear it to add fur :)

  • @phoenixwildfire What about a low-temp hot glue gun? I'm going to be putting them on a shoe to make them pro-outdoor wear, so would a hot glue gun work for that?

  • that is cute X3

  • go to joeanns

  • where did you get the foam, cause the only foam i can get is from walmart and its not that good... its 15 dollars a roll and its basically the stuff you use on beds, i cant find any other kind of foam, can you help PLZ

  • I mainly buy foam from local upholstery stores, most fabric stores will also carry foam.

  • kay, so would Joannes or Hancock fabrics have any?

  • yes they both carry foam of different sizes, the green is firmer than the white stuff, also you can tell the age of the foam by how yellow it is

    btw cute corgi tail <3

  • oh thanks, and uh, i dont like the stuff i get at ol walmart since it does yellow real fast. :/

  • I get my foam from Field's fabrics- I'm not sure if that's just a local chain or national, but they have green AND yellow there. :)

  • Joann has lots of different foams!

  • yeah i found it

  • I use memory foam to make my feet and ears If that helps. Lol but probably not

  • Comment removed

  • go to Hobby Lobby- a block of 1" foam is only $10 and a block of 2" is $15-17. Each block is probably good for a couple PAIRS of feet. lol

  • Hehe, I like it! :D

  • looks great so far, but instead of calling it cheap, should have said "cost effective" or somewhere along those lines

  • I wanna see the completed version! And if the video is already out, my bad. :D

  • I'm finishing the footpaw tomorrow :) Starting with just one, then using the experience for the other lol

though I'm using hotglue for the fur, since the goop is very... well, goopy lol it's good for the foam, but not for the fur.

  • Awesome. ^.^ Say, you got MSN? You seem like an awesome person, and I'd love to chat with you! :D
